In town for business. Purchased USB charger box for outlet. My phone was dead and I only had the cord not the USB box to go in outlet. The cashier who put up with me trying multiple cards and then doing a split payment was so nice. I'm worried about what the lady standing behind me thinks and she said to not worry about them. She also tried to help me find an open outlet in the store so I can use the plug I just purchased with them to charge my phone a little so I can get an Uber to go back to the hotel. We couldn't find one in the two places she thought were there. She gave it one more try by asking this young big smiling employee working in the print center. She replied, "Unfortunately, we don't have any open outlets for customers to use." Really? It's Office Depot...there is nothing? Not one outlet? Not one power strip? No way. I was stranded in a city I have never been and just needed 2 minutes tops to get my phone charged enough to turn it on and get an Uber. It took me a total of 2 1/2 hours and a lot of walking and asking homeless people where they plug in to find an open outlet. Thank you IHOP for caring! To Office Depot:. Sometimes smiling big when you are telling someone who needs help that you can't help them is not the way to do it. At least pretend that you understand my plight and look concerned when you tell me that you don't care and you don't want to take the time to help. Bet ya there's outlets in the break room or bathroom or HR office or training room or by the printers.... The woman cashier who helped me.....Thank You. You...
Read moreI wound up at this location quite by accident—no, serendipity! In my search for a planner, I crossed paths with your associate Qortni, who not only took her time helping me find a planner meeting my very Karen-like preferences, but also introduced me to the Tul product line. She was personable, thoughtful, funny, and truly delivered the best customer service experience I’ve ever received at an Office Depot. While I’d hoped to provide her with rave reviews via the survey link at the bottom of my emailed receipt, I’m afraid I never received my emailed receipt, so a public accolade is necessary and well-deserved! Is this the closest Office Depot to my home or office? Absolutely not. Will I return just for the customer service? Absolutely YES! Qortni is an 11 out of 10. She’s passionate about providing excellent customer service, she listens to needs and wants and matches them to products in-store. She is knowledgeable about store brands and her commitment to both customer and employer is second-to-none. If she’s not already management, she should be. You’ve got a tremendous asset in her, and, as a result, a dedicated...
Read moreWe owned a company in Salt Lake City, 3rd West and 21st south was our normal Office Depot. We have moved since then, and now buy our printer and office supplies from the bountiful store. Our 10 year old HP printer needed to be replaced, it was no longer made. We used the HP30X laser cartridges and would buy them two at a time. We decided to upgrade and buy our new printer and cartridges from Office Depot. We asked for credit to apply to the cost of a new printer and cartridges. The manager said he could not apply the unopened HP30x cartridge towards the sale of a new HP printer. I find this amazing that the store employee would not accept an original unopened product when he has several on the shelve with security devices on them. If he needed proof, we could give them account ph number and they could see how much we had bought in the last twenty years. I guess 120$ is more important than continued sales at this store. We buy our paper by the case, and we buy our cartridges two at a time. Maybe there minds where on New Years Eve not the customer. I am sure a competitor would be happy to have our...
