This experience was much more than an art class. The content and instruction definitely elevated my art and introduced me to a new way of approaching a blank canvas. Samantha's professional and extremely friendly demeanor made the classroom a fun place to be open, free, fearless and easy to be social with other students. Several great connections were made. However, it was Samantha's story and philosophies about her work that were my biggest take aways. Her background in art, her shared experiences and path to her success inspired me and validated some of my own insecurities about my art. I can honestly say that I am more confident about my work because of what I learned from Samantha. She is an extremely talented artist and teacher. Taking Samantha's FearLESS Abstract Painting Workshop didn't just help me as a hobby artist; it helped me as a person. She's an incredibly intuitive mentor, and while she does teach practical and valuable art tools and shares her processes, Samantha also focuses on our mental blockades and working through what we face internally. She empowered me to break through and create freely in ways I hadn't before. Not just on the canvas, but in my job, too! The weekend proved to be art and therapy all in one, a sacred space for our group to be vulnerable, to share, to support, and to grow. Samantha's workshop was wonderful and well worth it. Not only did I learn new techniques for making art, but I learned to let go my preconceptions about what art should be, which allowed me to be freer in my art making.

In addition to making art, it was an amazing opportunity to connect with other artists. You learn so many things just by being around a community of artists. Samantha makes every participant feel comfortable and welcomed. I initially was worried about the judgement of others and critique of my art, but this workshop was not like that. It is about finding your own voice with the support of the instructor and the group.
