Most people enter via Hickey Blvd and Camaritas Ave, but there are other entrances. Parking is a bit tight since there are businesses within the shopping plaza such as Zocalo and Chevy's. You'll notice Grocery Outlet just by the amount of people heading in that direction.
Grocery Outlet is a bargain store with new inventory of different items each week. This week, for example, I found Hi-Chew candies that were buy 2 for $1 and Bolthouse juice for $3.99. Small selection of produce at the front, as well as within, the grocery store. After you enter Grocery Outlet, there is an aisle where you can browse (and maybe buy) different objects for your home or car such as trunk organizers or welcome mats. There is also another aisle that displays gluten free and organic items such as Dang Coconut Flakes or Kashi bars. All the aisles are usually stocked each day, but sometimes, you may not find what you have on your grocery list such as regular coffee creamer or other vegetables.
I shop at Grocery Outlet once a week and usually don't need to drive to a second grocery store unless absolutely necessary. The cashiers are very affable, which is one of the reasons why I keep...
Read moreReally love this supermarket. So let me go into detail. Before I start, you should know that i love grocery shopping and cook 99% of my meals. That being said, I love the variety and prices. Because of the type of store they are, they do not have a big selection and no guarantee that they will carry the same item again; meaning that they always have something new. This is fantastic, as i enjoy being exposed to new item and it makes cooking with said items great, since it keeps the meal menu variable. The other benefit is their prices. After going to almost every grocery store within a 5 mile radius, I settled on this one as i found them to be the most reasonable. However, that does not mean that I do not have to shop elsewhere for items that i cannot do without. For example, my coffee. Still, i am able to find almost all of my groceries there. There produce is nice and have all the must haves for most recipes. The meat selection is small but varied. If anything else, i think they are...
Read moreI like going there because of the bargains, but there were 2 experiences that left a bad taste in my mouth. When I buy toilet paper I stow it in the bottom portion of the cart. One day the owner was doing bag duty at my checkout and the first thing I do is put the toilet paper on the belt so I can put it back on the bottom to make room for the rest of my groceries. All of this was done in view of the owner, yet as soon as I paid up, and was about to leave, the owner said in a loud voice to the cashier, "did he pay for the toilet paper as?", as if I was trying to get away with something. The cashier told him yes. It was embarrassing for me, and I felt it could have been handled with some discretion if he felt something was wrong. No apology was offered.it happened again under different circumstances. Again with the loud voice. I will continue to shop there because of the bargains and because everyone...
