This place is usually packed for a reason. To start there is a Philz Coffee that seems to have a line out the door whenever I stop for coffee in the AM, waiting for really good coffee. Walgreens is best in the area. The asian market is big and has a great selection of products, not just Asian, and good prices. The meat and seafood are fresh and they will prep and fry your fish on site. There is take out Chinese at front of the store that is decent and so convenient. There is a very reliable dry cleaner. There are 2 banks, BOW and Chase. Goldilocks, a filipino bakery, has a location here. There are lots of restaurants to choose from like Five Guys burgers, Pho, japanese, the ubiquitous boba spot and much more. The options for dining are great. There are other businesses as well. The place is packed. I only gave 4 stars because of 2 issues. The drivers in this shopping complex seem to drive particularly disregardful of traffic laws and pedestrian safety, as well as the safety of other cars. Getting in and out is a challenge. There are stip signs but no one seems to understand what they mean or how they operate. The entrance/exit off Westborough is very badly designed. The entrance and exit from Gellert at least has a light but the backup to get in and out causes cascading issuea in the parking lot and for pedestrians. The other concern is the parking. It is plentiful, yes, but packed and I mean that like sardines. The spots are narrower than normal to squeeze in more spaces for cars. And people get creative to squeeze in. Almost no handicap parking. And the lanes and turning corners are also narrow and badly designed, which leads to bad driving all over. But it is worth it! Just be brave, vigilant and patient. And leave the big...
Read moreThis will probably surprise you but when I ate there I know the owner was sitting at a table with some Financial colleague and they were overviewing everything that happened but they might have been a little sidetracked. I brought my friend to Five Guys for the first time asking him to compare it to other fast burger joints he already does not like in and out burger for some reason don't know why but I brought him here and I wanted him to try the fries which I cannot eat because of my peanut allergy. I will try to keep this short we were in line for 12 minutes maybe 15 when we got our burgers they were not off the grill hot. They were okay for both of us but not what I expected I've had these burgers in Sacramento many times. The serving temperature was just not there they weren't cold but.... More importantly when we were walking around the restaurant and the owner was there we sat at a dirty table and he walked right by us entertaining his guest and did not order anyone to wipe it down there was only four people at tables in the restaurant at that time but we took care of it with using 15 of his napkins. Not excited to go back to this location I'm going to try my Sacramento locations again to see if the quality has...
Read moreThe Philz Coffee is a godsend.
There is no rhyme or reason to rest of the offerings. They could've done so much more to Westborough Square when it was completely redone, but they produced a let down.
Not to mention, the parking lot design is terrible and requires you to walk through dirt and/or jaywalk because of the lack of crosswalks. It's actually pretty dangerous. Most of the parking is on the less busy side too, so you're forced to cross the street which makes absolutely no sense.
Other notable thoughts: -The Asian grocery store is the cleanest in the area -The Mexican restaurant is awful. Expensive and not good. Take your money to Grand Ave -The Vietnamese restaurant owners/employees are the stingiest (charge for every little thing, even to-go containers) -Take One Pizza is the worst of the build your own pizza places (considering Pieology is also not good) -The world does not need any more Quicklys -Everything else is just okay (Paris Baguette, Five Guys, Bonchon Chicken, UPS Store,...
