Possessed, the impulse coaster at Dorney Park, offers a quick thrill but fails to leave a lasting impression.
With its back-and-forth motion repeated about three times, the ride's excitement is short-lived and quickly gives way to boredom. Additionally, some riders may find the experience slightly nauseating, detracting from the overall enjoyment.
For those seeking a bit of excitement, sitting in the very front or the very back can yield some decent airtime. However, even this small pleasure fails to elevate Possessed to a must-ride status.
Like many coasters at Dorney Park, Possessed suffers from a lack of theming, further diminishing its appeal. Without immersive surroundings to enhance the experience, riders are left with little to engage their senses beyond the coaster itself.
In conclusion, while Possessed may offer a brief diversion for thrill-seekers, its lackluster ride experience and absence of theming make it a forgettable attraction at...
Read moreThis ride is so much fun. It is by far the most intense ride in the park. The launches on this coaster are so much fun and really thrilling. It really gives you an adrenaline rush. On paper it doesn't look like much. It just goes forward up a twisting spike, then backwards up vertical spike, and it does that over and over again. However I am pretty sure that Dorney knew that. So they added one major draw that I don't think any other Intamin Impulse does. During the second time you go up the vertical spike, there is a holding break that holds you up 170 ft for a split second, and drops you once again. This is my favorite part about the ride. Your whole body slams against the restraints and you feel like you are going to fall out of your seat. I don't know about you, but I love that feeling. I will always come back to ride Possessed when I come to Dorney Park. It is simply one of my favorites, and it may be one of your...
Read morePossessed is having issues with its LSM . . . Been having this issue since pasdholder preview day. It's stumbling on the launch, you can feel it, sort of feels like the pulsation of anti-lock brakes and is having issues getting height on the spiral. This doesn't appear to be happening on all launches but if you're watching you can clearly see the ride is having trouble reaching speed, thus not being able to make it up the spikes all the way. I think it's tune-up time. Even with the issues, I still really enjoy this ride. With the new coaster coming in 2024, I hope this fix this ride up so it keeps running for...
