Talon: The Grip of Fear — Attraction in South Whitehall Township

Talon is an awesome roller coaster. It packs in so much in such a tight space. It isn't necessarily the most intense ride even but what it delivers is great nonetheless. You really power through those inversions. Some may argue that this is the best ride at Dorney. I personally don't think so, but it is such definitely in the top 3. I love every element on this ride. The inversions are fun, the drop is cool; there is even a banked turn on this ride that is so low to the ground. You really pull some good Gs with this coaster. Because this coaster is so compact, it feels a lot faster than it actually is, and I love it. Now i must admit some of the elements jostled me around a bit, but the track itself was very smooth. My favorite part about this ride is probably the vertical loop, it's really cool. This is one of B&M's best inverts and you will find yourself riding it...

Talon is one of my favorite inverted coasters, and is my favorite coaster at Dorney. Four great inversions, two forceful and two whippy, plus a great helix at the end. And you get a few good airtime moments depending on where you sit. There's an airtime hill after the helix, and if you sit in the back you get airtime on the drop before the corkscrew. By far my favorite ride. I love the drop and the first upside down loop. It has lots of twists and turns, and at one point you feel very close to the fence in which visitors can see you pass by. My favorite part is when we go so close to the concrete. It may be labeled Talon the Grip of Fear but honestly is not as scary as it is fun.
