Public park in a quiet community. Right off of Beverly Rd, the park is far enough from main roads that traffic and community noise doesn't reach the park. There are a variety of things for the family to do--play structures and swings for the kids, volleyball, basketball and tennis courts for all ages (as well as some baseball fields towards the hill), a hiking/running trail, and a well-maintained pavilion for picnics and large gatherings alike. Of course, one of the main attractions is the hill in the back of the park, which receives much of its traffic in the winter for sledding purposes. Recent additions to the park include an outdoor fitness gym of sorts on the far side of the park--with sturdy metal bars to do exercises such as push-ups, sit-ups and pull-ups--as well as a full disc-golf course that runs through the park, and even a horseshoe-tossing setup.
The park was kept clean of debris, the trail seemed maintained, and the park is well-monitored by local police. The pavilion is available for renting from Park Planning for events. The restroom facilities are kept clean (when they are open, which they were not during this recent visit). All of the other facilities are kept in working order, with the small exception of parts of the play structure, which seems like it needs a tune-up. All-in-all, beautiful park in a gorgeous area that I have no qualms about taking my family to or running around by...
Read moreVery conveniently located park. It's a small one but with lots of features. We primarily go for the kids' playground. There are separate structures for the little ones. There's also a sand pit. There's a mound/small hill you can climb up to through steps or just its slope. There's an area for kids to practice sports. A tiny gazebo, a pond and some woods. I think there are mountain bike riding trails within the woods. It's an atom bomb park as i like to call it- small but packed with a lot of punch when it comes to outdoor recreation. There is also a pic ic Pavillion up for rent. In the spring, the park of bursting with colors from the crab...
