Update 8/28/2015
Today I took my phone back and they put on a better screen. The owner said sometimes there is a bad screen in the batches they order. He then proceeded to argue with me because I stated I shouldn't have to pay for a new glass screen after I paid 160 the first time. My argument is that they either used a low quality cheap screen or it wasn't attached to the device all the way. In which it could easily crack when placed onto a table, touched or rumbling around in your pocket. If you put new glass windows in your home and they are not mounted correctly they would crack when closed, same principle. Rather than eat the cost of supplying me with a new glass screen they charged me another.
One of the owners then attempted to explain that he didn't believe my story of it cracking on it's own. This is after I advised them of the flicker. He tried to explain it wasn't good for his business for him to cover the 70 so they made me pay it again. Customer service should be the number one priority of a business without that you will no have no customers. As I sat down another customer told me he had the same issue with his Iphone. He stated "they probably used a cheap screen on it or didn't install it correctly and it cracked on the side,it's not apple or samsung quality". Of course a phone doesn't crack on it's own when it's sitting there. But if you use a cheap screen or don't install them correctly it will break over the course of time. All it would take is a touch or a simple bump to fracture the glass. So as it stands I will leave this review as is. 1/5 Buyer Beware
Brought my phone here at the end of July after I cracked my screen dropping it on edge of a table. They fixed it everything seemed fine. I paid 160 for repair of glass and back lcd.Within 3 weeks it starts flickering and malfunctioning and I take it in they say it's okay because they couldn't reproduce the screen flicker. So I assumed it was a fluke. Six days later I awoke to a cracked screen. Quality screens do not crack that easy and it shouldn't of cracked at all since I didn't drop it or drop anything on it. A day before this it was flickering again as if something was too loose or tight. Keep in mind I have never broke my phone screen until I dropped it on the edge of the table. Before that I went years with no issues. I contacted them about the issue and they said they would work out a "deal"
Which is basically charging me again when they didn't do the job right the first time. So I took it up there and they put a new glass screen and lcd on it. I checked it out for a couple mins. It wasn't until I got back to work I realized the screen was low quality. The blacks look like greys and the vibrant colors this phone had on previous screens are non-existant. The owner made a point to say his supplier would not honor the crack beforehand so I think they gave me a lower quality screen to more or less try to break even. This is a galaxy s4 which was a flagship phone. The screen they gave me resembles a computer monitor from 1998.
Also I had a ottorbox case on my phone that I bought once I got it fixed the first time. The screen flickered one day and was broke the next. I was charged about 230 altogether. I could of bought another phone for that amount.
Update: In response to owners recent reply. You didn't replace it free of charge. I will stop to by confirm. I was charged another 70 on top of the 160 I...
Read moreI had a TERRIBLE and HORRIBLE experience at this place!!! The STAFF was RUDE, and DISRESPECTFUL, and VERY UNPROFESSIONAL acting towards Me!!! I guess the STAFF picks and chooses which Customers they're going to RESPECT and DISRESPECT!! And they need to be RETRAINED in CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS to TREAT EVERYONE with RESPECT or BE FIRED!!! I dropped my son's Game device off here to get a diagnostic of what was wrong with it, and I was told it could take up to 2 days. And I should Note that the device did have some water damage but it still came on and had sound but the screen wasn't coming all the way in and was kind of black and dim. So I didn't hear anything back from this place after 2 days they could of at least left me a Voicemail or Text message!! I went to pick the game device up from the shop and was made to wait 5 minutes or more before someone finally came from the back of the store, to the front knowing customers were waiting to be helped Smh! And the Young man was Very Rude!!! and did not Greet my son and I. He did not say Hello or Hi, How may I help you, he just stared at us rudely like what do you want like we were aliens smh!!! I asked about my son's device because I wanted to pick it up, and was told it's not at the store it's at a warehouse. And I also asked did they find out what was wrong with the device the young man said he didn't know and couldn't tell me nothing! So come to find out I pretty much was being lied to.I was told it would be at the store first thing tomorrow morning, I came to pick it up the next day and was told once again it's not here. I had encountered 3 different staff members each 3 visits I made to this shop. So the guy I was speaking to claimed that he was trying to get into contact with the other guy who has my son's Game device and said he's not answering he won't answer the phone which is the same thing I was told the previous day!!! So I started to feel as though they were trying to Play with my Intellect and thought I was Stupid and was telling me anything Heavily Disrespecting Me!!! And was Constantly Lieing to me and giving me the Run Around!!! So to make a long story short I pretty much had to THREATEN to CALL the POLICE on THIS PLACE!!! Just to get them to give me my son's Game device back!!! I BELIEVE they were trying/going to STEAL my son's Game device fix it and Resale it SMH!!! And Now my son's device is NOT TURNING ON AT ALL!!! NO TELLING WHAT THEY DID TO IT OUT OF SPITE!!! THEY'RE EVIL AND UNPROFESSIONAL CROOKS!!! DON'T...
Read moreBroke the screen on my Samsung Galaxy and had insurance cover the cost of a repair. Went here over other places because it was a local business and offered a lifetime guarantee (authorized Samsung store was only 90 days). They also price matched the other store.
They checked out the phone and told me they needed 2 days to order parts, which was fine. When it came in they did a replacement and it seemed fine. Later that evening i turned on the front facing camera and it couldn't focus. It looked like something was on the lense maybe from the image.
I brought the phone back and they tried to clean it, but still won't focus, so they offered to replace the camera for free (again a couple of days, but not a big deal). Quick replacement and all seemed well.
A few days later I was traveling on a warm day and got a warning when my phone was plugged in that it was "too cold to charge". It then would charge for a minute then flash the battery icon for a minute and charge again, rinse, repeat. The USB connection (e.g. android auto) still was stable so it wasn't the USB port. Tried different cords and chargers, but then since the phone was just barely under warranty (cracked screen not withstanding) I contacted Samsung. They had me bring it to the above mentioned authorized repair store.
When I got there to check it out, upon taking the phone from my case the person at the store noticed the back glass was coming away and had a large gap. They opened it up and saw that some repair work was done, but mostly that a screw that holds the battery thermistor in place (temperature sensor) was not there at all. They replaced the screw and all now seems fine. I brought the phone back here to have the back glass reglued down.
Long story short: lifetime guarantee is nice, but in 3 weeks I got a lot more mileage from that then I would...
