Uptown Consignment — Attraction in Southington

RUDE and Ill Mannered. Poor quality of Service. I went to consignment some clothing today. This instance is NOT the first time that this shop has been completely rude and ill mannered. They have no customer service at all.

Today I went to the store with one bag to get looked at. A women came in with 10 bags just before me. Which is unreasonable amount of garments. They told me I had to wait, leave my clothes and come back, or just comeback later in the day.

Excuse me I have one bag, this lady has 10. Isn't there a limited about a garment that you can check in????? I have brought toooooooo many before and have been turned away however this women clear was accepted.

What is your STORE POLICY and PLEASE STICK WITH IT.

First; Waiting through 10 bags will take at least an hour. Seriously ??

Second; if I leave my cloth please add them to the account. I 'm not coming back for the ones your don't want. Be accommodating Your asking me to come back after the attitude you gave me.

Third; I don't have time to come back. Why do you think i 'm here?

I like the store & it has cute clothing, It is getting 2 stars for the items, I found some cute stuff there. However! The people who work there are rude. They have rotten attitudes. I went in with my two little girls to look for a dress to wear for a wedding this weekend, I had about 8 dresses in the room with me, well my daughter accidentally knocked down a rack and came to tell me, so I left my stuff in the room and went to go fix the mess she made. One of the girls who worked there RAN literally RAN across the store and said rudely, is that you in that room over there? Because you need to pick up your dresses put them back on the hangers and return them to the return rack. We don't pick up your mess here. I said, Okay well I am helping my daughter and I am not even done in the dressing room. I have never been somewhere, where I am spending MY time and money and so rudely told to go clean up my dressing room. I always do anyways. Secondly, Isn't that what they are there to do? I saw all the girls sitting in the back behind the counter chatting. Just...

I've been a regular customer for a few years now , it's hard to put into to words the amazing dealings with Uptown consignment at all locations, the deals are on point and the employees go above and beyond, there's no place on Uptowns level. We've gotten to know the employees and the owner through the many visits. If there customers want specific brands they take your number, put you on a wishlist and call you if they come in, this is value for us we can't even measure. The text option they have keeps us posted on special sales wich helps as we all get so busy. I'll be a life long customer. Southington is our first stop as we live around the store. Sometimes we do rocky hill, South Windsor all in the same day. Each location ROCKS, I have a wish list in every store including hamden lol.
