Sprinker Recreation Center — Attraction in Spanaway

Update: received a phone call regarding my experience and a solution for what happened. I appreciate the great customer service. Adjusting from 3 to 4 stars. I will return with my family.

Easy and affordable to have a birthday party or celebration. Online application was quick. Email conversations were incomplete and took time for a different person to inform me of how to make a payment. When I got there, the individual at the counter told me where my rooms were but they were locked and I had to go back to them to unlock it. They gave me a roll of tickets for those that were skating. In hind sight, they should have just given me the 10 tickets to start that was included in my purchase for renting the space. For any additional skater, that is a $7 additional fee. They do not count the tickets by what is placed in the small bucket on the counter to rent skates, they count by the number on the roll. Which means if you are not paying attention to the tickets you give to your party, you could be paying extra. After paying for an additional skater, I found another ticket that would have meant I had exactly 10 skaters. They would not refund my payment because I paid in cash, this I find unacceptable. No solution or remedy except a sorry. Moving forward, the kids had fun. They should not be giving the whole roll of tickets as an option. It should be a standard 10 tickets and return to the counter if you need more for additional skaters, else you might be paying more than you...

Cool park. I can't vouch for bathroom cleanliness as I didn't go but they were on site. Some weird water backing up in grass area that just looked mucky.

Also did not visit the indoor areas of Sprinker. Only writing a review on outdoor park area.

Only two, small, "big kid" swings. Two baby-toddler bucket swings. And a canopy hammock type swing.

Great building play structure of you have kids that like to climb. Good little toddler/baby area.

I love the idea of the fitness court but it is supposedly only for 14+.

Water Park is always a plus but like I mentioned there seems to be a draining issue from either that or sprinklers.

Great spot to ride bikes, scooters, etc.

Covered clean eating area.

I could definitely see spending a warm summer day here for a variety...

NO SIGNS about not skating no cost! I was there just yesterday and when I went up to pay I told the person paying for me and my 8 year old son. When asked about skates I said I will not be skating but my Son will need some. So they charged us $17. I did notice this until I talked to my wife, who was inside and I went back and asked for a refund as I told the cashier that I will not be skating.... they said NO refund! I was very mad - this is business - who these days don't offer refund, or put up signs saying entry is free if you are NOT SKATING! Please put of signs so others don't waste money as I did. I will not be coming back and I will tell everyone about this that I can - as I'm in IT I have a lot of internet blogs...
