Went to this location for the first time ever going to any A&W. It was really good. So I decided to go back the next day... The next day was terrible. They forgot 3 items from my order, the burger was put together extremely poorly. And I asked what the difference was between "original bacon double cheeseburger" and the "bacon double cheeseburger". Of which both were priced differently. They had no idea what the difference was or what made them two separate prices. Only off by 10 cents lol. Just one had the word "original" in it. If there were literally no difference, it was just them omitting the word from the item displayed in another area, then why was the price different. Anyway, terrible experience, terrible food, fries were cold, cheese curds were cold. Tasted as if they were left out all night and placed in a microwave about an hour before I bought them. But that was just my second visit. Figured it was just a bad day for them. So I went back a 3rd time... Same situation.. sorry there is just not enough consistency here to deserve a good rating. Only giving 2 stars because my first visit was pretty good.
Also their large fries size is a joke lol. It's almost the size of McDonald's 99cent value fries lol. If you are going to charge a lot for your food, at least make the quality better or provide...
Read moreLook I'm an old school fan of A&W as I grew up with my grandma and my mom taking me to the drive-in to get a Coney Dog and a Root Beer Float. Back then is when the cute girls in roller skates would skate up to the car, take your order, then bring back your order on a tray which would hang off the outside of the car window. Then when the feast was over, the cute girl in a short skirt and roller skates would pickup the tray. So I have these cravings for the Root Beer Float and a Coney Dog which I wanted to share with my own family minus the girl in roller skates of course. So this will be the third time I've shown up there around 9:00(they close at 10:00) only to find out that the ice cream machine is broken down for the evening and then the only thing that's left to order on the menu is of the Sides menu! I don't know what to say other than I've been highly disappointed as well as my family I brought with me. I don't know if the owner knows or not but it is definitely not a restaurant that I would visit after 7:00 pm. Also the Coney Dog I did get the other day was at best the...
Read moreActually it was a KFC/A&W restaurant. We all know KS (Kernal Sanders) was the first Top Chef. Could you imagine if Gordon Ramsey and KS were in a Kitchen together. Hahahaha!!! I had a barbeque chicken sandwich with kernal corn and a mountain dew. It was delicious. We know not every one is the same, but this location is very good. We always ask them to make sure the chicken is freshly cooked, and volunteer to wait the 7 or 8 minutes. Every single time they make sure it is hot and fresh. They will even put down a basket of fresh fries half way through the chicken being made hot and fresh. You go KFC/A&W in Tacoma Washington on approx. 149th and Pacific Ave. Thanks for the freshness. Kernel Sanders, and I assume, Gordon Ramsey would be happy about that. Now Hells Kitchen with them both in it would of been a whole different review....
