Poor customer service. I did glass fusing with a group. I requested my slumping to be something they did not have an example of. I was aware that they may not be able to do it. I was right. I got my piece back and it was a mess. No one contacted me to let me know they couldn't do my type of slumping. They just went ahead and did their own thing. The corners were pinched thin so when it came out of the kiln it was mis-shapen and one corner looks like it will break off if anything hits it. I called to let them know I was unhappy. Not because they couldn't do what I wanted, but because no one called me and the final product came out sloppy. I was told that they can't control what happens once it goes in the kiln. Well, someone else in my group did a rectangle like I did and it turned out just fine. The owner offered me a chance to redo my piece and they would wave the $8 studio fee. That means I would have to give them more money to make another one. I would not agree to that. After a few back and forths, she said she would give me my money back (even though she was giving me excuses why I shouldn't get my money back) but I would have to bring back the piece. She is going to make me work for it, isn't she? Not an easy task since I don't...
Read moreWe went in a couple weeks before grandparents day to get our baby’s hand print and feet pressed to gift two of them on 9/8. Our pottery wasn’t ready until a month later. It is almost 2 weeks past the holiday. I wish we were told at the time of creation that it wouldn’t have been ready in time. I called 4 times for updates and each call, the date of pick up was pushed back. On top of that, the paint designs weren’t correct. We wanted the foot to be a deer surrounded by grass. The grass design is missing and her name is on the back instead of the front. Also, the ornament was supposed to have dots on it, but doesn’t. Maybe there’s a reason for designs missing, but it was never discussed. I still love them and enjoy the place, but I wish there was better communication and that the designs were what we asked for especially for the price...
Read moreWe wanted to do things we’ve never done before for my son’s 10th bday and Playful Potter was stop #1!! We had a great time! The youngest child was 2 and the oldest was 10 and even the adults had fun! I’m not very creative or artistic so I very much appreciated the stencils that are available for use! Super easy and super cute! The kids however, needed no stencils. They picked a piece and got right to painting! We don’t live in town so the only downfall was that we had to have a family member pick up our pieces once they were ready. Would have been even better to fire them that day, but no big deal. Prices were a bit high I thought but between the excellent service and the fun we had, along with the memories we made... it was worth it! We will definitely...
