Used tire vendor is a racist rip off! Today 12/16/17, my kids and I went to have 3 tires replaced. I got there at 8:45. I asked the guy if they were open and he said 3 minutes. We waited 30 minutes and 2 other workers showed up to help so I thought I would be helped soon. 15 minutes later they finally started working on my van. Then a male mexican showed up in his SUV and the guy stopped working on our vehicle and started working on the other guys car. By this time we had been waiting there over an hour. We were also the first customer. They kept stopping and starting on ours putting all other customers ahead of us. When they finally finished around 10:30 nearly 2 hours later they wanted $50 per USED 14 inch tire of DIFFERENT SIZES for a total of $150! I was beyond shocked. Walmart has new tires for $40. A couple of months later 2 of the tires are worn down to the metal and I don't even drive much. I mainly use it for groceries locally. Never again. Worst experience. I’m sure our skin color had plenty to do with it since the Hispanic customers who shared their language were served first. I highly recommend spending a little more at a professional tire place than take a safety risk thinking you're saving money. I had to get all 4 replaced a short time afterwards because they gave me BAD tires. I got new tires and great service at Discount Tires on Los Altos for not much more than what I paid these guys for bad used tires.
Update: The added comment from company representative Justin of West Wind in CA was for appearances only. Justin specializes in social media so he responds to reviews pretending to care. I actually wrote the company and included Justin's response and never heard back from them so we know they could care less about any...
Read moreHardly anybody there anymore. They let the "reserved" people in an hour early to set up while the occasional, yard sale, passing through, ect sellers have to wait until the general public comes in. Then we have the customers getting in our way and going through our boxes, vehicles, ect. while we're trying to set up.
They should open up earlier and let the garage sellers, occasional vendors, ect. come in to set up a little bit before the customers come in.
I noticed that they now (slowly over the past 20 years) only want Spanish speaking people there. They used to welcome EVERYBODY back in the day. Now they want to chase out any Caucasians with their 2 sets of rules. For instance wanting only certain people to give an itemized list of every item they're selling but not others.
Basically they have pretty much chased out the pickers and yard salers and it's now predominantly fresh off the boat junk.
They really also need to exploit Hot August Nights instead of practically boycotting it. I mean, what screams "NOSTALGIA!" more than a drive-in???
This place needs to change their attitude very fast or they'll be out of business soon. It seems to be dying a...
Read moreIt is an okay place to shop however this particular swap meet does not want any out of town customers.
They have an opportunity to utilize Hot August Nights and the drive-in nostalgia thing however they are boycotting Hot August Nights and they do not want any out of town Hot August Nights people at their Drive-In or swap meet.
They refuse to advertise it to them and they basically just don't want out of town people in their swap meet.
They have endeavored to keep this a single demographic swap meet for the past 20 years.
I am so surprised that they don't simply turn away cars that are over 40 years old with out of State tags.
If this swap meet would be more inclusive it would be a lot better.
Years ago this swap meet was very good and very busy on Saturday as well as sunday. Nowadays Saturdays are totally dead and Sundays are pretty much dead.
I kind of have a feeling that the management of the swap meet is deliberately trying to chase everybody away so they can get rid of these swap meet because they don't want to work...
