4.5 Stars đđđđ½ I recently planned a bachelor party for a group of 12 guests at Speedway Indoor Karting, and the entire experience was overwhelmingly positive. From start to finish, the staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. Booking the Event: While the booking process was initially a bit stressfulâmainly due to the limitation of only being able to reserve small events online within 7 days of the event dateâthis was quickly resolved thanks to the exceptional support I received from Kaitlyn and Carly. Kaitlyn assisted me over the phone with a friendly and helpful attitude, and Carly, the Events Director, was incredibly responsive via emailâusually replying within an hour and never later than 24 hours. Despite the policy, they accommodated my request to book two Small Grand Prix Events over the phone, even sending a direct payment link via email. Their flexibility and professionalism made all the difference. Race Experience: We opted for two Grand Prix Events, and we couldnât have been more pleased. The races were an absolute blast! The pit crew did an excellent job keeping the track safe and clean, quickly responding whenever one of us spun out or bumped a wall. They were also kind enough to take group photos for us, which was a great personal touch. The go-karts themselves exceeded expectations in terms of speed and overall thrill. It's worth noting that, due to regular wear and tear, there were some inconsistencies in performanceâone kart had a minor backfiring issue, and another stalled during a race. That said, we weren't exactly gentle with the equipment, so some variation is understandable. After all, these machines are pushed to their limits daily. One thing to be aware of: the karts do get quite hot, especially on your back due to the engine placement. Most of us also felt a bit sore after the event, likely from bumping into barriers or each other during the heat of the race. Nothing too extreme, but something to keep in mind. Amenities: The bar and pizzeria attached to the building were a great bonus. It gave our group a perfect space to grab a drink and a bite to eat before diving into the races, adding to the overall experience. Final Thoughts: Despite a few minor hiccups, our time at Speedway Indoor Karting was incredibly fun and memorable. The staff's dedication to customer service, the quality of the racing experience, and the well-maintained facility all contributed to a successful bachelor party event. I would absolutely recommend SIK to anyone looking for a fun and high-energy group outing, and Iâm already looking forward to visiting again in the future. Great job, Speedway Indoor Karting teamâkeep up...
Read moreThis was a great place to cart when it opened and everything was well maintained. Having a poor experience my last trip out I was excited to try SIK again. The staff is friendly but not very professional. They are constantly on phones and safety and customers appears to be well below the importance of a notification. The carts and track however are much different. The cars shake violently on straight supposed to be flat parts of the track. The worst sections are the upper deck straight which is as flat as a piece of microwave bacon so you bounce like a modern F1 car the whole straight up and down up and down. As you exit the upper deck straight you are met with a very uneven drop to a wide open section of track that makes no sense and has bare metal showing through and no longer and track surface material they normally have down. The carts are vastly neglected and you will be lucky to find one in perfect working order. Wheels are bent, bent steering arms in the front from collisions, and seats that are missing the passing that is essential to keep riders from moving around while driving. The harness did not fasten tightly around my waist or shoulders even after an employee tightened them. I was able to move almost 4in in any direction while racing. I did my best to push myself into the seat so I didnât slide around the corners. After the race I was very sore on my hips and mid back. When checking in the mirror I have multiple bruises on my hips where you can see blood spots from the impacts. My back has 2 small cuts similar to carpet burn from the constant up down bouncing on the upper straight. I was excited to try this place again but if you are skinny and tall I would stay away. Second time Iâve paid over $50 to get beaten up by poorly maintained carts and tracks. I understand some level of soreness/injury is expected with racing of any kind. However, I shouldnât be leaving with multiple open wounds after only doing 2 short road course races with my friends. This place has really started to decay and itâs sad to see such an awesome spot fade. Never again with their sub par equipment and industry leading prices đ I would be more than willing to share images of...
Read moreI went to this track with my father for my birthday. We normally go up to K1 or Fast Times and also go to karting tracks throughout the country when we travel. We both signed up for 3 races each. I am amazed at how poor the management is at this track, especially with it being at the speedway. I know neither my father or myself will ever come back here and we will drive by here to go to the NE side. In our second race, my father's kart didn't turn, but they did let him go out in another kart and we finished the race and we get that sometimes these karts don't work 100%. The third race was were things went very south. Coming out of the bottom corner/chicane area, a kart was behind my father and I was behind both of them. The kart behind my father never slowed down and ended up going up onto his kart and pulling the air box off, leaving his kart dead. They pushed him into the pits and when we finished, we asked how they would like to compensate or makeup for the kart failure. One of the workers said that they would put us in another race but the next races were full and then the worker never came back. I went out to ask to speak to the manager and he was supposedly coming. This went on for a while before the girl behind the desk finally went and got someone, whether he was an actual manager or not, who knows. After talking to this worker, he said that it was my father's fault that the kart broke and they wouldn't do anything for us. I asked him "how is it ever the lead kart's fault when they are exiting a corner and the car behind runs up onto their kart??" Which I was told once again, it was his fault that the kart BEHIND him went up onto his kart. After arguing with him for several minutes, he reluctantly gave us 1 race back but only for one of us. So sadly, we went there to race together and only got one real race in together while the others were all a mess and had some of the worst customer service ever. I hope that things do get better for the sake of the business as the track is nice but I know I will never be...
