We refer to it as Chucky B's. Love this place!

Edit 5/17/21 I am very sad today to change my review from 5 stars to 1 star. My girlfriend and I had lunch here this afternoon. We had been pretty regular visitors for a while leading up to the pandemic, but we hadn't eaten in the restaurant in about a year.

One of the servers (not the one who took our order) came over to chat, we told her we were glad to see her after staying quarantined all year. She bragged to us that she didn't do anything to follow quarantine and she did just fine. I am used to this type of response around here, and I mentioned that I had lost a few friends to COVID, and felt it was worth the inconvenience to protect others.

She replied to me "Sorry 'bout ya, survival of the fittest." I was shocked at her callousness, and managed to say "this conversation is over." She then began to argue that the flu is worse than COVID, and that I was wrong to think otherwise, and I said again, "seriously, this conversation is over." She made a comment about us being soft or softies, and very condescendingly told us that she was going to leave us alone. We had a few more bites, then got our check and left.

I am not looking for an apology at this point. I don't care if that server stays or goes. I will never return to a place where the staff feels comfortable picking fights...

I was going to give this place 4 stars, but I just can not as an overall restaurant. I have to give it 5 stars, but if I gave it a true overall rating it would 4.75. To be fair and also keep in mind it was a carry out order. So I ordered the basic breakfast which I have to say overall was not bad. The scrambled eggs, turkey sausage and pancakes were all pretty good. The eggs I will say were about a B+ overall. The grits left a bit to be desired. They tasted somewhat grainy, if they would have cooked the grits a bit longer they would have been better. The customer was pretty much everything I could ask for. I was greeted multiple times with smiling faces with no hesitation as soon as I walked in. They have a very nice setup of an old school diner feel. The pricing is just amazing especially in this day and age the meal was only about $11. My hotel was about 10 minutes away from the restaurant and at my arrival it was ready with perfect timing. Well let be begin... I didnt even sit in i order for the 1st time an since i lived in speedway for years i just knew this was going to be a awesome spot to eat in an dine... But i was press for time so like i said i ordered to go... Over the phone was a great experience an since i didnt know the menu the waiter over the phone had helped me decide a breakfast of my choice she was very kind.... So then she told me its a 10 min wait an it was a 10 min wait... Which was awesome so this the part that got me upset so my 10mins was up i goes in to get my food an if looks could kill i would have been dead on the floor its like they took one look at me an my skin an it was a totally different experience from over the phone. The lady was rude i even told her thank you an she walked away i jus felt like i didnt belong as soon as i lefted i told my husband i would never go back. So got home an ate food it was okay but my eggs an sausages had slide together like it was thrown together pancakes look cool but from my experience i will prolly never go back its just not...
