Fresh & Foraged Cafe — Attraction in Spokane

My Cobb salad was sooo yummy! Very happy to have a restaurant with some really fresh ingredients that didn’t leave me feeling sick. My husband is dairy free and I’m gluten and red meat free, so finding a place we can both eat comfortably is a bit of a nightmare 😅 I‘ve been dying for a good salad place. I love Chick Fil A’s grilled market salad, but their savory salads are just meh for me. I can’t wait to try other Fresh & Foraged salads and see how the menu expands! Also, I just love the name of this place. 🥰

Suggestions:

1. Add fresh fruits/sweeter options for salads! The CFA one I mentioned before has chicken, apples, blueberries, strawberries, granola, blue cheese crumbles, and an apple cider vinaigrette. Another salad I love is from Cafe Zupas (which we sadly don’t have here), the Nuts About Berries- I add mango and chicken to it. It has candied pecans I believe, along with blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries with a poppy seed dressing, if I remember right. I would just love some fruity, nutty, delish salads like this!

2. Consider adjusting prices if you remove ingredients from a salad. For example I don’t eat bacon, so it would be awesome to have a small price adjustment for removing it.

3. My gluten free croutons were delicious, but I’m wondering if they were over salted this time. It was my first time in but I’ve never had croutons that were that salty- I usually salt my food so much my husband is disgusted, and the croutons were too much for me. I’m assuming it’s just a mistake this batch and will get them another time, but thought I’d mention it. I’m also not sure why they aren’t on the Cobb by default- they definitely should be!

4. The biggest reason I docked a star is the price. I do understand that things are crazy expensive right now for businesses, but a $17 takeout salad stings a bit, especially since lettuce is the primary ingredient 😅Unfortunately it will probably prevent me from coming as often as I would like to; but I will absolutely still eat here as much as I can 😋 Even something like throwing in a cheap Kirkland bottle of water and a small side or dessert would make that price more worth it for me.

Overall I had a great experience, will absolutely be back. I’m excited to see how this place...

I wish I could give this place (-5 stars 😢) I had just pulled up in front of this place and I noticed a couple of teenagers standing by the window with no masks on, I thought they were customers that were just leaving, until I saw both of them step behind Fresh Food Service Areas and they both were putting their bare hands into some of the food bins..!! No gloves, No Masks, No Hair Nets, Nothing... I also saw an older woman in the place just take a juice bottle from the service area and she was drinking it, while standing by the Fresh foods, salads, dressings, toppings, etc... I got out of my car and walked towards the door and I even pointed to my mask and No one made any effort to get a mask or even wash their hands or use some sanitizer. They just kept going hand to mouth from one food bin to next. Please be very careful if you choose this place. It doesn't seem to have any concern about the basic Raw Food Safety Guidelines that have been around for decades, I wonder if anyone here, has a Food...

I saw this place on DoorDash, not too long ago and wanted to order from there, but today I actually was in the neighborhood close by this place and I ordered the loaded potato with coconut bacon. I also added avocados and cilantro to mine, and it was absolutely delicious. I wish the potatoes were quite a bit bigger. Wendy’s sell a really large potato for about half the price of this place but this place is custom and they are very friendly. They were kind and I will definitely go there again. Everything on the menu is fresh and that’s what I love. The most is fresh food. My body‘s been craving fresh food like a lion craves fresh Meat 🥩 lately lol 😂. Definitely worth the stop in. They do cater to all vegan. I don’t think I saw any meat on the menu at all so this is definitely high vegan territory. And the atmosphere is very clean with open windows for fresh sunlight. End tables on the outside of the building if you wish to sit in the sun and eat. Thank you guys for going above and beyond it was...
