Read moreWas a fun place! First, the recreation building. Pool was awesome for a not so warm spring day. Kids liked playing a non water pool and the gym. They have rooms you can rent for party's or weddings. Which is why I rate 4. We were there during a party. Obviously. You could hear the dj set up all over the building. Lack of respect to the workers by the party goers. People everywhere. So it made three days a little less enjoyable. Luckily, don't live far, so we get to enjoy it. Then second, the park itself. Always loved this park. The cave for 1. Who doesn't enjoy that. They have tours to go into the cave. Then, a smaller cave you can go into but not far. Then, a trail goes over the top of the cave. Only for older kids and adults. Unless with an adult. It's a big drop. But the view of the park and the pond are absolutely amazing. Then, a new bridge on the pond gives it a modern but, not overdone. There's a big pavilion and other separate picnic table and grill areas. You can rent the pavilion for party's as well. There's a fun newer play ground that's a great size. Lots of swings. Benches everywhere to have a rest. Then behind the beautiful park there're walking trails. They aren't too long but a good stroll. Overall it's...
Read moreive gone to parks across the US. and all of them in town. This is one that a person should not come to alone. That's not a good thing to say about a public park. This park probably used to be really nice however its on the seedy side of town so it's getting seedy visitors. We visited on a nice Sunday morning at 9am. We saw homeless washing their socks and stuff in the streams in the park. We walked the trail that goes into a wooded rural ish area. There were several homeless people waking up and coming out of the wooded area with their belongings. Then we heard someone or several people riding dirt bikes through the park. Then we heard a guy on the bike yelling at the homeless. We saw private property signs by the tail so basically there is private property that meets the park property but no fencing and the signs are barely visible on fallen trees. Seems the dirt bike riders may own that private property and are trying to keep the homeless out. It was not a pleasant experience. I could not wait to leave. The water was really gross and there were areas where stagnant water smelled putrid. At least that park is there for someone to use but just better be safe and...
