EDITED TO ADD: I reported to BBB. Geoffrey contacted me while I was working 5 times leaving voicemails asking me to come to the store. When I did on 3/9/19, he called the cops on me for tresspassing. He also used my DL to find my house!!!
If I could give zero stars I would!! February 13th, I went into this store and purchased a remote start system. I found their ad on Facebook and they said remote start system was $150 INSTALLED. I understand that they do this for marketing purposes, so I'm really not too mad about that. I went into the store and was told $244! Okay, fine. Paid it and was then told that if I wanted keyless entry, it would be $25 more. I said I'd think about it and went home to do my research. Every. Single. Video. I found stated and showed keyless entry was INCLUDED in said kit, Excalibur Remote Start. When I purchased the kit, I was told my appointment was for Thursday the 21st. When I messaged Geoffry, the "gentleman" I'd been discussing this item with, he informed me that I did not have an appointment, and would have to SQUEEZE me in. Then, I asked him about keyless entry. He stated it was for more relays. I don't really understand much, so I said whatever and paid it. After dropping my truck off, I was informed they were going to by pass my horn because it's a train horn. They said it would always be in "stealth mode". I said no I want it this way, I paid for it to be this way, this is the way it's going to be installed. Then, they charged me an ADDITIONAL $5 FOR "ANOTHER RELAY" to use my horn!!!! I go to pick up my truck yesterday and Geoffry sends the short gal that works the store with them out to "show me the bells and whistles" of my system. All she could show me was how to set my alarm off. That's fine, there's YouTube videos on how this system works. Anyway, she is telling me the story of how she had to drive my truck to their other shop for the install AND back. She proceeds to tell me she could not reach even after trying to get in the truck by herself and had to have her husband help her in my truck. I didn't really put two and two together because when I get in, I always use my steering wheel to pull myself in. (Short people problems LOL!) About an hour after picking my truck up, I noticed my grab handle was BROKEN OFF MY TRUCK!! When I called the store about this issue, I was told Geoffry would have to call me. I messaged Geoffry again to let him know, I was waiting on his phone call, as I hadn't received one and it was 7:30 PM, and he very rudely called me a liar, told me their policy is they don't touch those handles, when the short gal already admitted to me how she got in my truck, then BLOCKED ME FROM SENDING HIM MESSAGES. When my husband messaged him about him blocking me and calling me a liar, he called him a liar as well and told him to contact the store that our problem was with them instead of the "manager" Geoffry. I've owned my truck for going on four years! This handle has NEVER broken with countles people grabbing the grab handle. I trained myself to stop using it after watching an old friend break hers. I haven't used this handle in over a year and a half if not longer! It's NEVER been broke until now! But, somehow I'm a liar and my truck was already broke?! I'm so beyond upset with how this BUSINESS treated me, overcharged me, charged me numerous times for stupid things, and then proceeded to call me a liar over a piece of my truck being broken after they've had my vehicle. I do NOT recommend this business to ANYONE!!! This has been the worst experience I've had in a long time!! Not to mention, when I purchased the kit I was told that there was an app that pairs with this to monitor how long your truck has been running, GPS Tracking, battery status, and other cool features, however, when trying to set this app up, it asked for a Serial number. I put my devices number in and was told 2 things. 1.) Serial number not found and 2.) Has to be 16 digits long. So, I was lied to about being able to have that app. (Not a big deal to me, but it would've...
Read moreI called to price a remote start for my Jeep Wrangler. I talked to Jeff and told him what year jeep I had and that it is a standard shift. I asked if he how much it would cost and he said he believed they could install it on my standard but would like to make a phone call to make sure. I received a call back from Jeff later that night and he stated after 2 phone calls to the supplier he is sure that it would work on my Jeep so I scheduled the repair. He was very kind and offed to pick my Jeep up. He picked it up on Wednesday December 27th and installed the remote start and delivered the Jeep back to me later that day. At delivery he told me that the install didn’t go as planed and I will now have an intermediate check engine light but it was no big deal because my check engine light was very small. I said that would not work and asked him to find a way to fix it. He stated that he would do some research and call me back the next day. I didn’t receive a phone call. Friday December 29th I left Work tried to remote start my Jeep and it would not work. I got in and started with the key and the horn stated screaming. I went to audiophile on Saturday December 30 and spoke with Jeff and explain my problem and Jeff said that it was a module that he installed that went bad and would like me to wait till Tuesday January the 2nd so he could call the manufacturer and talk to them. I didn’t receive a phone call so I called him at 5:30 that evening and he stated he had been to busy to get an answer so I stated that if we could not get a remote start that would work on my Jeep that he would need to take this one off and refund my money. That’s when he changed from a nice guy to very stand off. I then called him Wednesday January 3rd and he was busy and would have to call me back. When he finally called me back he stated that he has a police officer standing right next to him and that I was the one in the wrong over this entire conversation and the officer agreed with him. When I asked for the officers badge number and name he would not give it to me. There was no officer Jeff was just trying to intimidate me he the stated I was not to step foot on the property again mind you I have only been there once and have all our conversations video taped or recorded and never rasied my voice to him or threatened him. Please do yourself a favor and save your money and stay away from this shop. I paid over $200 for a remote start that worked for 2 days. That is...
Read moreI have visited this store for repairs four or five times now. I've entrusted the owner with my SAAB 97-X over the weekend. What I like about this guy is that even if he doesn't know everything off the bat, he is determined to take his time and investigate on a very verbose level and even try explaining things to me before he jumps to conclusions. He looks to find the cheapest parts for you that fix the problem that you might be having. He does source mechanics externally for a lot of these jobs but the one that did a majority of the work on my car so far was also incredibly honest and well-meaning of an individual. Too many shops these days are paid big money to simplify a problem and say that a part that is needed which is not necessary and is usually expensive - and they don't usually take their time to explain what is going on with me. There is one other shop that my family has entrusted with business but they're busier than ever these days and did not have the immediate knowledge or time and resources to work on my SUV, and this man has the time and loves doing it - I can tell he is passionate.
As far as audio jobs go, I've not had an installation from this or any other place just yet - I have my priorities with car repairs and fuel economy enhancements. But he definitely made a very great pitch to me a few weeks ago that I may just undertake down the road - very much beat the prices that a couple of other big-name shops offer in town. I do encourage anyone that wants to work with this guy to research your problems beforehand in order to ensure an expedited process in finding the problem, but he'll work on your vehicle as long as you let him. That may not work for everyone, but to me that is assurance of premium quality.
I also enjoy talking to the owner about many other subjects - he is an incredibly thoughtful individual. For those who want to find the cheapest, most affordable, and quality repairs while undertaking conversations that are deep soul food, I couldn't make a higher recommendation of a shop in this town. Even if I can't give points in "industrial efficiency" and say that he knows everything, the fact he likes to dig deep for a reasonable price matters to me more than any other store I have been to....
