If you like subculture this place is the place to be. I am not into most music, but I appreciate that this place carries cassette tapes ($3 and up) and vinyls of local bands and local record labels--often with wonderful graphic design. They are like little art pieces. Probably the only place to carry any zines or similar sub-cultural publications in town. Dumb Records carries unique t-shirts (new and used), offers free coffee lately (so bad so good), and you and dig out some free past event posters to decorate your room or fish out some free or $1 CDs to enjoy on as you drive home. Best of all, this place is often volunteer run, and it is tied to some kind of community. I have often walked into "volunteers" who actually play in the local bands whose tapes/records are sold in the store,--as well as graphic designers, studio engineers, record labels, etc. who produce some local tapes/records, events...

They post stuff that you might want online occassionally...butwhen you get there...its either already gone, or so overpriced that to keep a sense of dignity, you wouldnt give that much for it. Much like their mall store....this place has opportunity to be awesome...but instead resembles every other millenial owned record store that has no idea what a traditional record store is about.
