GameStop — Attraction in Springfield

Yesterday, Friday September 5, I purchased a BRAND NEW game at the GameStop located at 1063 Boston Rd, Springfield, MA 01119. The game was NOT sealed but was marked as NEW. I paid full price for the game Final Fantasy X/X-2 that includes a digital code for the second game X-2. The code for the game DOES NOT work. I brought the game back to the location the day after with my receipt and the employee working REFUSED to do anything to help me. I requested a refund as the game is new and I had a receipt. He said he could not give me a refund because the game was “used” which is not correct. I placed the game into my system and attempted to redeem the code that I purchased. The code did not work. The employee said I would need to contact Nintendo. I should NOT have to do this for a game I paid FULL PRICE for and was labeled as NEW. This is completely false advertisement and entirely not what I paid for. Had I known I would have to contact Nintendo for a game that I should be able to redeem I never would have...

Such irresponsible and unprofessional workers. I came yesterday and they had a paper note on the that they were in the bathroom. I had to wait 32 mins for someone to come to the door smh. Im here again today right before they open so I wouldn't have to wait. I get here at 11:56 they open at 12:00. I walk to the door at 12:05. Guess what? Another note. Be back soon bank run.
