I place an order on GrubHub for a work lunch at my job. Early in the day so I knew it would be in and everything set for a timely delivery. 2 party pizzas wings salad. My card was charged like all places do when you order online. Then an hour before I expected delivery I get an email an text saying the store canceled my order!!! I called GrubHub an they said the merchant charged my card at the store not by GrubHub so the charge is just an authorization and will fall off my account in 3 to 5 days . meanwhile I have no other funds to reorder so I have no lunch for all the people I told I was buying lunch for!! I called the restaurant specifically thinking if we change the KIND of pizza maybe that will help. a guy picked up. He said it wasn't them the order was placed with and asked if it was Boston road net or something. I'm like there's two pizza places with the same name on Boston road? I misspoke an said I ordered thru doordash to him not GrubHub but still you'd think he'd remember a $166 order he just canceled. He offered to take my order if I wanted to charge another card. I'm like I can't the other place charged my card an it doesn't automatically refund i'm not rich like that. He hung up on me . Rude! then I see on GrubHub it now says they are closed mondays! If they were closed today I'd never have been able to place the order online so it had to have been changed after this debacle. so humiliating and rude. And to offer to charge me AGAIN ! Total jerk!! Read moreThis place was my go to place. Recently had an altercation on my weekly order they just now started charging 4% to use your card. To me that is ironic to make your customers pay your card fees. By far one of the only pizza places I’ve gone to that does that not to mention I went there personally to speak to the owner because we’ve pretty much become acquainted throughout my many Weekly orders I ordered from them religiously so it upsetting me the fact that they were charging to use a card. The woman that was speaking to me on the phone was extremely rude and had a lot of attitude it’s no wonder they go through counter people like water. The owner then told me it’s because he pays over 2500 a month to use the card machine. Read moreNot often do you find a spot that remembers your name. The staff is alway kind and friendly. I have never entered this place and witnessed rudeness towards any customer. In these times- that matters. The food is always great. Recently, I could not find my bank card and I used it there last. When I went to check if I left it there or lost it in the parking lot and a customer returned it, they were just opening. He checked and did not find it. Instead of just saying no, the gentleman took his time to look at the video footage around the time I made my purchase and I was able to see I put the card in my sweater pocket. With the stress of remote work, remote schooling and our political climate, I could not even remember I wore a sweater with pockets. His patience and customer service won them a life time customer. We were already pleased with this local business and have become regulars for our end of the week (have nothing left ) take out day -that moment took it to the next level. Thank you.
