I was delightfully surprised at the quality of this gym for such a low price. Everything is very clean and in good repair. There is a good assortment of machines and a place to stretch and do other exercises, as any gym should have. They have no swimming pool, jacuzzi, or anything like that. If you buy the Black Label membership, however, you can avail yourself of an amazing hydro massage machine, tanning cubicles, and massage chairs. Even with a basic membership, however, this place has a lot to offer. For one thing, the staff is fantastic! Everyone was so friendly and helpful and I felt very welcome there. I have been to gyms that have snobby help, as if you should be skinny and under 30 to DARE show your face there. Secondly, they have their own app and you can watch videos on how to use any of the machines there. They also have an entire circuit training station with lights that flash to provide timing of when to change stations. Overall, a very nice gym for the price. Unfortunately, no pool, which is something I would really like, & no hair dryers in the locker room! I have never been to a gym that didn't have hair dryers and that is a bit of a bummer. Who wants to lug around their hair dryer? If you have any allergies or chemical sensitivities, however, this place is not for you. It reeks of fragrance, which I believe is from the disinfectant they have chosen to use on the machines. Had to take a star off for their lack of awareness of carcinogenic and allergy inducing- chemicals. There are antiseptics that do not contain fragrance and are a healthier choice for a club where people are coming to try to be healthy! This is a nice club and I hope they can wake up and choose healthier products...
Read morePLEASE READ BEFORE YOU SIGN UP! Went to this gym because I was going to school in the area and it was cheap and had tanning but I wish I would’ve spent a couple more dollars to go to a better gym. It was never very clean and majority of the staff were rude and not friendly. Cody and another guy were the only employees who seemed to actually care and enjoy their job, everyone else seemed miserable. I moved away from the area and went in to the gym for the last time, on my way out I told the girl at the front I needed to cancel my membership and she told me she would take care of it and to have a good one. Never did she tell me I needed to sign anything or send in a letter of any kind or ANYTHING of the sorts. 5 months later when reconciling my bank account I realized THEY’VE CONTINUED TO CHARGE MY ACCOUNT $20 OVER THE PAST 5 MONTHS! In my attempt to get my money back I was told by the manager Sarah that there was no possible way to get my money back. There was NO ONE I could talk to. No customer service number. And that refunds are AGAINST COMPANY POLICY. Never in my life have I heard of a professional company NOT REFUNDING someone for their own employees incompetence or mistake or lack in training. Sarah told me she would contact the regional manager and get back to me the first week of December. Today is December 17th - into the 3rd week of the month and still nothing. I will NEVER recommend this gym to ANYONE because I have been stolen from and treated extremely poorly. This is solely the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I hope these crooks don’t continue to injustice other hardworking...
Read moreI had high hopes for this gym based on the great reviews and the fact it was so close to my house but my experience wasn’t something that sold me. I’m not a member and when I walked in to ask about a tour and pricing I was met with someone who had a very hard time even making eye contact with me, the basis of good customer service or answering my questions. The “tour” I received was walking around the front desk and pointing out different areas of the gym instead of actually showing me around or where things were. I loved their statement of the all inclusive environment however I got the energy to be very uncomfortable and judgmental by the stairs of younger kids. There is a heavy amount of cardio equipment but not enough of each weight machine meaning your left waiting for the group of teens to get done mingling and taking selfies before you can even use the equipment. I was told “planet fitness is having a hard time keeping teachers so we don’t offer classes” great selling point. While it’s nice and shiny and new, I willingly went back to my old gym across town just based off the fact they always smiled and greeted me properly and had a lot more machines to offer that allows people to move around each other better. You have about 3 seconds to make a sale and sometimes all that takes, is a smile and...
