Rude employees, on several visit accounts I have been made fun of because of questions concerning products that are written in their native language, to being yelled at because I set my basket of my products to retrieve my wallet from the car, to arguing with me about a discounted item I was trying to buy. When I asked about a product of an item both of the employees were making fun of me as if I should know how to read the foreign language on the box with no English text or pictures anywhere and when they saw me catching them they immediately stopped and left. I got yelled at by the supervisor for leaving my basket of purchases to get my wallet despite him being nearby when I told the cashier I had forgotten my wallet in the car. The supervisor didn't believe me when I told him why until the cashie told him I was telling the truth. The guy just walked away with no apologies. And, I had an argument with a cashier about a discounted item and even showed them. They got angry and just threw my purchase in a bag while glaring at me. These were visits through a three visit that stood out the most with me. I rarely go there anymore because if their horrible service. Thankfully springfield has other asian markets with drastically better service like the world asian market near Hong yen. They also have...
Read moreI went here after going to Kuick noodles, a restaurant that has only been open for four days and is amazing! One of the most unique cool experiences ever! So unique… it feels like you’re being transported to Korea… But that was a different review. If you haven’t been, you have to try it. Anyway, they serve something for dessert called Melona bars. Think about if an ice pop and ice cream had a baby. But there are incredibly unique flavors like honeydew, melon, strawberry something I can’t remember, Ube, etc. I fell in love with these when I was in Vegas. So I came here because someone there thought that they sold them at this market. They don’t. So, Emily, who works here was so amazing that I was able to hand her some money and she ran back to the restaurant and bought them for me. I think she could tell that I walked funny as I need a hip replacement, and she didn’t want me to have to walk All that way. She was back within five minutes and then proceeded to help me with any other questions that I had there. If I could give her 1 million stars rating, I would. I don’t know who her boss is and, by the way Beth has been there for quite a few years at least for my experience and has always been wonderful and helpful. Anyway, I don’t know who Emily’s boss is, but she was...
Read moreWe've been shopping here now for the last 4 years since getting turned on to it by a friend and honestly, I can't imagine not shopping here. There are other Asian markets in town, and we've tried them all, but Seoul feels like our market. Between the oodles of noodles, frozen goods, sauces, oils, fresh vegetables, kimchi, and kitchen equipment there isn't a section of the store we haven't purchased from, but we've also come no where near exhausting our options for new flavors and new ideas for our house. As much as possible I try to hand make things, but the sweet thing about shopping here is, I can try a prepackaged item, like a sauce, and then next time get the ingredients to make it at home. The employees are always friendly and helpful, and the place just feels like home... if home were a Korean grocery. Love it, love it, love it, and we'll be customers as long as the...
