Sunshine Lanes — Attraction in Springfield

Brought my kids here today, wasn't expecting the awesomeness that ensued.

Didn't know it was family night, so the discount was awesome. No smoke and music wasn't deafeningly loud, nor was it too quiet. Just right.

Lanes are in great shape and appear to be well cared for. Scoring equipment has to be original, but that in no way affects the experience, in fact it took me back to my childhood and was nice to be able to provide the kids the same kind of experience I remember as a kid.

Staff was super friendly and food/drinks were priced at good value. The lady in the concessions even brought out our food for us and didn't seem to mind at all.

Overall, while the building may look dated and in need of some paint, this is an amazing experience for the money.

I should mention we drove an hour just to bowl at Sunshine lanes based on the other reviews and they did not disappoint one bit.

10/10 will bring my kids here again. 10/10 will bowl...

We enjoy going on Saturday nights during Rock 'n Bowl, where you pay 12 dollars if you pay before 830 or 15 dollars if after 830 and that covers the cost of bowling from 9 pm to close. Last time we went, a college had rented the alley until 930, so we started 30 minutes later than usual but the staff was very informative and helpful in that we could still pay beforehand and had access to the grill and bar (we don't drink, but knowing we could do everything else was really helpful). All we could not do until 930 was bowl which actually worked well for us as we had time to eat and wait for our friends to arrive so they could bowl, too.

the night of Jan 30. My wife’s birthday for rock and bowl. Are lane no. 16 only worked 1/4 of the time. Rock and bowl almost 11;00pm we had been able to bowl 2 games. Cause of all the problems with are lane. My wife went to ask about a refund and some kid named Austin raised his voice to my wife and said they couldn’t do a refund cause we’ve had time bowling already. We were really upset frustrated then the girls in the snack bar compensated us with some free popcorn. Charlie the assistant manager found the problem the pin setter had a broken arm.
