Maybe we had a poor experience compared to others but this was our experience:
Ordered a regular size tikka masala and $10 meal box. Firstly, they should NOT say "meal box" rather say a "bowl" or what it actually resembles. I was thinking a takeaway box so I think okay that's a decent portion for the price. It turns out to be a small circular tin with majority rice and a TINY bit of curry on top. My wife was hoping for a little more so I went back and asked politely if they could add just a bit more. They were quite defensive, especially the Indian man, and said that it was 8oz rice and 8oz curry (definitely not 8oz curry). So after saying they didn't have to then if they didn't want to they said they'd do it but obviously were angry about it.
We also got the gluten free chickpea bread, it was tasteless and thick/doughy. The chicken tikka masala and the coconut curry wasn't that good.
They gave no utensils or napkins, so we had to go to the gas station to get both so we could eat at the park.
So after that experience and the food not being good, we decided we should just go to Bombay...
Read more*based off of the reply regarding serving sizes, there must have been a mistake made, as I did not order a box and did not receive drinks with my meal, but the empty container only holds about 8 fluid oz in each section that contained entrée items, and about 16 fluid ounces where the rice was. Unfortunaltly I did not take a receipt to show what I did pay for, but the total was about $45, which per the menu I beleive should be about right for two full entrée with one order of naan and one lassi drink. *
Very disappointed with the serving sizes. For the amount I paid I had expected to have enough to share between two people. I ordered two entrées, Naan and a drink. I received one container with a small scoop of each entrée and some rice. I don't even know what it tasted like because my skinny 8 year old cleaned the plate in...
Read moreThis delightfully named food truck sits on the corner of the Shell gas station lot in Springville. I got the Butter Chicken and rice box that comes with a can of soda for $10. It did not disappoint. It was as good as other brick and mortar places that charge twice as much. They had the food out to us in less than 5 minutes which was surprisingly fast. This is take out only from a food truck in a gas station lot so don’t expect any atmosphere other than what you bring with you. I will definitely be coming back to try the Coconut Chicken dish that my friend had and said was delicious as well. This place was an Indian gem to find in...
