June 2022: Awesome place for children! They can run, jump, swing, burn out all the energy possible at this life size indoor playground! My 2yr. old had a blast for her 2nd b-day with family and friends, none of the children wanted to leave. The staff was friendly, extremely helpful, and very accommodating. We will definitely make plans to return here weekly for open-play.
Update Oct. 2022: Me and my family have now been here a few times and I must say there are a few things I feel the need to add. Though the idea of this place was great and seemed like the go to location for our children it just hasn’t been if I were to be honest. After attending this location a few more times after our initial visit, rather it was open-play or even a birthday party, the customer service here is on the fence. When you first arrive to this location the owners are instantly on top of you and your guest about everything! Mask, socks, signing forms (for who knows what, they say insurance purposes), while also running through a book of rules for children. Considering this is suppose to be catered to autistic children, even though all children are welcome, they have a massive amount of rules. Rules given to anxious children who are ready to play and parents who are busy holding those same children back from going into the play area because no one can play until the rules are ran down. Now once they complete the rules and the children are actually in the play area the ladies then watch you and your children like hawks. It’s so bad that you start to believe you’re doing something wrong and it’s completely uncomfortable. They are on top of your children about everything, climbing, jumping, sitting, I mean any and everything to the point where the children aren’t sure where they can even play. The open-play session are typically 2hrs and the owners make sure to keep reminding you of the time. Each time we’ve visited they pushed us to the door 10mins before our time ended. One birthday party our family attended there was even worse with the do’s and don’t for parents and children. They give you a certain amount of time to celebrate the birthday child/ren so when it was time for us to sing they made all the children leave the play area while we sung happy birthday and ate. Mind you the party was not ending for another hour and the designated party room was a very small space. They forced the entire party into this tiny room not allowing any children who preferred to play over eating onto the play area considering the party was still going on. Oh, and this place is ALWAYS hot so being in that room was horrible for everyone. They then forced us all to pack up and leave prior to the party actually being over. Every visit they have pushed us out the door (metaphorically) and it’s just unwelcoming and frustrating. Honestly it’s even more than that but I don’t want this post to be any longer. Needless to say if our family can avoid going here we will. You sort of have to experience it to understand completely what I’m saying. I just wouldn’t make this my first option for open-play or a birthday...
Read moreI have waited a long time to write this review. To be honest, I’m still angry with how things were handled at my daughter party. With that said, prior to her party, we frequently participated in open play and always really enjoyed ourselves. The birthday party was a mistake a nightmare. All the rules were not told me when I booked. My daughter is autistic and almost every child that attended has a disability. The children did arrive hungry and sadly, once the kids eat, they are not allowed to play. Trying to explain this to the kids was hard and most did not understand. Our party was cut short as the owner started cleaning and wiping down things and literally pushing us out. I kid you not, she had a timer and would come to us saying “10 min”, “5 min”. I was almost in tears. I was stressed as I’m trying to entertain, juggle the kids and make sure we leave on time… She kept saying “I’m here to help”…that wasn’t true at all. I really think she needs to just change it no food at all and only cake. The owner is so stressed over the food, it’s just not worth it. I was shocked at the whole experience as Cici…has always been extremely pleasant in the past. We haven’t returned for play here again and I don’t think...
Read moreI can't say enough about how amazing this place is. Not only is the staff very welcoming and friendly they are also extremely knowledgeable. I had heard about We Rock the Spectrum on Facebook and I wasn't sure of the location but had wanted to take my grandchildren there when I saw it on Facebook. My daughter and I and my two grandchildren were going to visit a local thrift store this past Monday evening and I happened to see the sign about it and was so excited! Instead of going to the thrift store we took the kids to We Rock the Spectrum. Side note here... Normally open Play is by reservation only in requires a 24-hour advance notice. It just so happened on this evening there was open Play time available and I believe it was the owner of the business who let us come in and enjoy 2 hours of open play time. My three-year-old granddaughter loved the zipline! She's not the bravest when it comes to things like that and she was so brave there. She felt safe and comfortable and welcomed and my grandson who may or may not be on the Spectrum also enjoyed himself thoroughly. They played from 4 until 6 p.m. and we're asleep by 7:10 p.m. It was a wonderful experience all around and I can't wait for them to go back...
