Alright folks, gather 'round, because I've got a story about the Walgreens on St. Charles Rock Road that needs to be told. This isn't just a pharmacy; it's an experience. It all started when I called in to refill a prescription. I kid you not, the person on the other end, bless their cotton socks, paused mid-sentence and then, with absolute conviction, asked, "Excuse me, sir, are you... a polar bear?" I mean, I do have a deep voice, but I didn't realize it resonated quite so much with the Arctic tundra. I spent a good five minutes trying to convince them I was, in fact, a human being, not some majestic, fur-covered creature attempting to order a Z-Pak from the frozen North. We eventually got that sorted, with much chuckling on my end. So, already amused, I sauntered in to pick up my prescription. I walked up to the counter, gave my name, and before I could even finish, the pharmacist (who I'm pretty sure was the same one who thought I was a polar bear) looked me dead in the eye, cracked a grin, and delivered, with perfect comedic timing, "Yo mama's so slow, it takes her an hour to watch 60 Minutes!" I stood there, prescription in hand, genuinely speechless. I've heard 'em all, but never from my pharmacist. I burst out laughing, and to their credit, they laughed right along with me. They even offered me a discount on some cough drops for being a good sport (which I declined, but appreciated the gesture). Look, if you're looking for a sterile, humorless pharmacy experience, this might not be your spot. But if you appreciate a good laugh, a unique customer service encounter, and don't mind being mistaken for an apex predator or the subject of a classic joke, then the Walgreens on St. Charles Rock Road is an absolute must-visit. Just be prepared for anything. You might even leave with a prescription and a new stand-up routine. P.S. To the Walgreens team: Keep up the excellent, albeit unconventional, work. You definitely...
Read moreShane who is an evening pharmacist is very disrespectful. I was told there was a problem nation wide that my UHC insurance wouldn't link to the system. Other pharmacists and techs at the same Walgreens and other Walgreens laughed and said that problem existed months ago. He would not allow me to pay out of pocket saying it was state law, even knowing it was life threatening and I was going out of state the next day. I had a nurse from the doctors office call the pharmacist and she asked why he would tell me it's illegal to pay out of pocket and why the day shift pharmacist never mentioned the cliche issue , he admitted to her it was strictly a personal choice. I'm still trying to understand why a pharmacist would make a decision to withhold medication and completely LIE to me. The pharmacist at another Walgreens gave me no problem that night on the rock road. Shane you are a Disgrace to all pharmacists...
Read moreThe Pharmacy is a NIGHTMARE. For the FIFTH time, they gave me the wrong prescription. I have to open and check my bag before I leave EVERY time, because I NEVER get the right medication. There is someone there who has the same name as me, and they give me her stuff almost every time. Even though I have to verify through my birthday and address. I also have to wait 25-45 minutes every time. They give me a call to let me know my prescription is ready, but then it's not the right medication, so I spend forever waiting for them to get me the correct one. I leave that Walgreens infuriated every time. I never had issues with the one off of Vogel Rd in Arnold. I will be going back to them for now on. Aside from their Pharmacy, their customer service is horrible as well. Most of the workers have an "I don't care" attitude, and they never smile or seem friendly. Management really needs to step...
