This is an excellent place to eat and drink! Likely need a reservation and they do require a sizeable deposit to make sure you show up, but we kept checking back and got a reservation for 6 people for my wife's birthday for dinner on Saturday night.
Good seating options both inside and out. No heaters outside so dress in layers if it's cold and windy. I would recommend getting a lot of appetizers and then sharing entrees.
Here's what we got for our party of 6. We started with the Mini Ham Sandwiches which were excellent! The default order comes with 3 sliders, but you can order as many or as few as you want. I would recommend one per person, so we got 6. We shared the deviled eggs, caramelized beet salad, shrimp Louie salad and the grilled artichoke. It was fun to try a little of everything since they have so many delicious choices.
We ordered cocktails and wine. In my opinion, I would recommend the Birds of Paradise or the Milled and Chilled. I also tasted the Porch Swing but it was a little boring compared to the others.
For entrees, we got two orders of ribs, two trouts, and one pork chop, shared among 6 people. It was delicious and we enjoyed trying all the different dishes! Pork chop was really tasty and went well with the grits and broccolini. Trout was good with mushrooms and fennel. Ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and tasted good, comes with a nice coleslaw. We had lots of left overs! If we did it again, we would have gotten three entrees for six people because we had a lot of starters.
They brought some buffalo milk ice cream for my wife's birthday and we sang happy birthday. I would go back here again any time I'm in town. Service was good and friendly. Well designed and decorated inside with vintage farming equipment.
You can walk around the grounds and see their gardens and area for weddings. Very beautiful place.
All in all, we spent about $100 per person including tax and tip, but it was well worth it and a great way to celebrate my wife's birthday! Could have been cheaper if we only got 3 entrees instead of 5, pro tip! Hope that...
Read moreWe were fortunate to have reservations at Farmstead between winery visits and were so impressed with the food and the service we would recommend to anyone to enjoy. Our table was outside on what i would call the front patio, it was the perfect temperature and nicely shaded. Our server Tony was great and spent plenty of time with us answering questions about the food and helping us to connect to the perfect food options for us.
We started out out meal with the charcuterie plate which featured four different types of meat. Each of the selections was extremely tasty and paired nicely with the fire roasted garlic crostini, pickled onion and pickles on the side.
I ordered the Dungenous crab rolls which was a top cut brioche roll (the size of a medium hot dog bun) stuffed with delicious dungenous crab that was lightly season and had just the slightest bit of a mayonaise. It was served with the lightest home made chips I have ever had. This roll was unique and well worth it down to that point where you are enjoying the last bite and know that your memory will have to take over for your taste buds from here.
My wife got the grassfed cheeseburger, adding bacon and avocado to it to make it even more delicious. it comes with some amazing potatoes that had been cooked perfectly to a slight crisp. The burger looked amazing and had very positive reviews from my wife.
One other item of note is that Farmstead has Mad Fritz beer on tap which is hard to find. We enjoyed a nice glass of The Ox and the Frog which was a very nice been for a summertime lunch out...

From the moment you walk up to the restaurant, and walk into the main dining, you are immersed and shown that the food is fresh from the farm.
This old world classic concept has been lost in time but Farmstead has made it a priority to showcase the current season on its plates!
My husband and I enjoyed an amazing brunch that has been a conversation piece since our experience.
The menu was nothing short of simplistic fine dining !
We started with the soft and warm burrata alongside a whole roasted garlic spread on crispy sliced sourdough bread. It was complimented by the tart pickled onions, and super crunchy pickles.
We then proceeded to our main entree, a hearty super delicious grass-fed cheeseburger! It was the most perfectly balanced burger I’ve ever had! The portion was large, so we did split this between the two of us..
The patty was cooked to perfection and sandwiched between fresh greens and soft ciabatta! It was accompanied by super crunchy roasted potato wedges with homemade ketchup!!
We sipped on mimosas and wine and enjoyed our meal quite pleasantly.
The ambiance was airy, light, and comfortable. The staff just as warm and welcoming.
We concluded our meal with espresso that was oh so wonderful!
Overall a phenomenal experience! This is truly deserving the full...
