Trinity Lutheran Church — Attraction in St. Louis

I went to this church after falling on hard times (yes I work full time but I'm sure the economy has gotten to the best of us). I was referred to them for rental assistance. I was in no way possible one to be mistaken for a vagrant or criminal, yet the lady made me stand outside in the rain, would not even let me in to the church, took my information and copied it,while I stood outside for 10 minutes, again I'm in the rain. She questioned why my rent was so high, although with the neighborhood we live in 63104, my rent, is clearly in line with the average property value for the area. She then came back and told me they could only give me $50. Had she told me this up front I would have exited stage left as soon as she opened the door with that look on her face like I had awaken her out of her sleep. I assure you that the monetary amount was not the issue at all, but for a church to treat me like that was appalling and definitely not in the spirit of God. Trinity Lutheran is a beautiful historic church with a warm, inviting congregation. Wonderful services on Saturday evenings and 2 services on Sunday mornings. They still have a German language sermon on the fourth Sunday of each month as well. Extremely helpful and giving to the community with service projects, soup kitchen, food pantry, financial aid and more. I have visited here many times in the past year. The church is pleasing to the eye from the structure to the stained glass windows to the organ pipes. The organist is fantastic and dedicated to providing quality music for the service. The minister provided an interesting and thought-provoking sermon. There is a children's sermon also.
