Visited this morning, got a titzel bagel, which they call "cornmeal", a rosemary sea salt bagel and a bagel sandwich: local prosciutto, goat cheese, fig jam on a cornmeal bagel. I like how they packed the rosemary sea salt bagel for me in a separate bag since I was going to eat it "later". Or maybe they did it because it was warm out of the oven - either way, it was appreciated! Both the plain bagels were the best combination of first bite of crust crispness with perfect resistance going into the dense and chewy softness of the inside. The titzel had the perfect amount of saltiness and the rosemary sea salt was full of good flavor. That slightly sweet and salty sandwich was just what I needed later in the day, and I think it would've been fantastic toasted, too! Cute little place, three tables, a couple of seats at a little side bar. Smelled amazing walking in. Restroom was clean and bright. I was really happy that they were open on a Monday morning! I also like that they are part of the Green Dining Alliance, helping make our city better! Update 11/1/25: Got a bag full of joy this morning, and I just wanted to reiterate how truly amazing all of the flavors of their bagels are. Sure, I’ve not had every single one, but I have had four or five different ones. 😊 First time having one of their “spooky” bagels, and no, it is not black from food coloring, it is that way from activated charcoal powder. It was just a fun bite. Also, the employees are always cheerful and smiling and sweet, and it’s always a pleasure to go in there and get a double dose of happiness.

Baked & Boiled’s sockeye salmon cheddar jalopeno bagel is the end all be all for bagel lovers. #stlouispescatarianapproved @stlouispescatarians on instagram The time and care put into giving these bagels a salty, malty water bath is evident in their chewy texture, a hallmark of authentic water bagels. Chef & entrepreneur, Alex Pifer has elevated her bagel business to new heights. From Tower Grove Farmers Market and Wild Olive Provisions, to a brick and mortar location in Soulard, Baked & Boiled continues to offer a wide range of delightful bagel flavors, including everything, sesame, poppy seed, plain, jalapeño cheddar, cinnamon raisin, chocolate chip, and honey whole wheat. This sockeye salmon bagel is a masterpiece, and I can’t wait to go back for more.

Okay, let me just say I’m from the east coast and I truly believe that NY has the most superior bagels… but with that being said, I did enjoy my pepper cheddar bagel with egg and cheese. It was tasty! This bagel seemed to have a bit more rise/fluffiness than my friends’ bagels which were the everything with scallion cream cheese and an egg and cheese on sesame. The bagels overall are flatter but I believe that’s due to the way they are made. They have a nice variety of bagels and schmears. I was also intrigued with getting the rosemary and sea salt! Staff were very lovely. Great outdoor sitting!

This is the bagel spot of all bagel spots. Between my wife and I, we have ordered everything on the menu and every single item has been AMAZING! From savory bagels with their Slammin scallion cream cheese! To the sweet flavors with their pistachio cream cheese. It’s all so good. My wife and I have come here at least once a week for the last year. It has become a standard. We don’t eat out a lot but we go out of our way to get our bagels!

Not only is the food amazing but I look forward to seeing my bagel family every week. They are never short on smiles and friendly conversation. This is truly a place to be fed and feel part of your community, and now with local honey I’ve got my allergies licked!

Throw a good nickname on your order and enjoy your bagel.

Love always,

Pepper ched, scallion cream cheese all the...

I'm not a regular, but I've probably been here 30 times. Unfortunately, today will likely be my last.

I ordered a bakers dozen with a couple specialty bagels which usually comes to something between $30 and $40. I had ordered three "bialy" bagels which, although it wasn't mentioned when I ordered them, are the most expensive bagels ever made.

Running me up, the last had to go ask someone in back, she came back and added nearly $20 to the bill for my three bialy bagels! I questioned it, she fumbled through an explanation that boiled down to "they cost more," I painted out that she was charging me full price for three bagels on top of the dozen, but only had nine others. She wasn't interested. I felt like an ass arguing the bull while people waited to make their order. I paid my nearly $60 for a dozen...
