Nice little city park on the riverfront. It had swings facing river and docks/piers to sit and watch the boats (or fish from). There is a nice fountain, gazebo, and small amphitheater, as well as a playground and picnic tables. On one end of the park (towards the boat ramp) is a small building with restrooms (plumbing, not outhouse style) and Knuckleheads (a snack stand and stuff like kayak rentals). The park is kept clean overall and plenty of trashcans for refuse. The park is frequently used for local events such as parades, concerts, festivals, food truck Saturdays, etc. It's conviently located in the historic riverfront area so short walk to a couple restaurants, bars, antique shops, gift shops, and such. Occasional tall ship the Peacemaker docks nearby too within walking distance. My only complaint is the biting gnats (no-see-ums) but that's a problem everywhere in...

We spontaneously came here because it started to rain and the other water Park closed down.

It was very nice when we arrived and it was only sunshowers. My kids enjoyed walking around and they enjoyed the very small Park they had there. The park they have is very sturdy very fashionable I absolutely adored it.

This park is so nice I would drive an hour back just to visit sit down and view some boats.

There was even some men fishing and that was exciting to watch that sport.

My family will be returning this place is great for all ages.

The water is not so close there is land separating your child from drowning which not a lot of places have.

Before your child goes down you will see your child run across a patch of grass before entering that water.

Yes I'm a paranoid mother. This place was safe...

Great fishing spot u don't need to go on a boat to fish during the summer I catch small sharks from the dock I've caught whitting, croaker, speckled trout, black drum, spot, pinfish, mangrove snapper, flounder, bonnet sharks, rays, eels,ECT. Out there fishing and there's a bait shop at the waterfront called knuckleheads they sell a frozen container of frozen shrimp for 5 dollars and they sell frozen whole squid as well and live shrimp gatorades/bottles of soda are 2 dollars, bottles of water/cans of soda are 1 dollar,a bag of chips are .75 cents they sell bug spray 2 as well and hooks and weights there and lures and stuff they sell candy 2 they also sell peanuts if anyone likes those I also caught short nose gar out there rare but I have just fishing off the...

This place is just beautiful and a lovely space to spend the day with family! There is a playground area, plenty of covered picnic tables that sit by a beautiful fountain and wooden swings that face the water! You can take a boat ride to Cumberland Island(which boasts areas for fishing and even camping). If shopping is more your spend there are several quaint shops and antique stores. Getting married? There are lovely spaces to take pictures including a large covered gazebo. You can have dinner at one of the local restaurants and spend the night at one of the Bed & Breakfasts right off the water.

St Mary's has a free concert in the park once a month. People come with lawn chairs or blankets to sit and enjoy. There are often lawn games for families to play. It's on the river and there is frequently a wonderful breeze coming from the river. On Saturday May 12th the performer was Michael Hewlett. I never heard of him before. That was one of the most fun concerts have enjoyed there! People were up dancing to the music from there very young to the older folks. Two men joined us from the St. Mary's river lifting their canoes from the water and sitting in them to watch the concert.

We have lived here for almost 18 years, and we absolutely love the waterfront park. We walk it, we take photos, we play games like I spy. (I spy, with my little eye, something green.) My kids are too big now for the playground, but they still love going there. I like that there is a wall, so it's easier to wrangle smaller kids. We also like to walk down to the ice cream shop nearby. My kids have skateboarder, roller bladed here and rode bikes up and down the sidewalk here. It's absolutely perfect for families of all ages.
