Rita Valentine Dog Park — Attraction in Steamboat Springs

Our dogs loved this park! We've never been to an off leash dog park before that isn't fully fenced in, so it was a bit of an adventure, but there is so much space to run that it wasn't an issue. Also, this wasn't the kind of dog park where there are a lot of ignorant dog parents, everyone was very attentive and making sure their dogs behaved. It was quite dusty when we went, so be ready for the dogs to come home dirty but also tired! I think they may have shut the water fountains off for winter when we were there, but that was the only thing we were missing...

There having issue's. A spray was used by accident at the park. It was said poison for animals. I have a small dog who is friendly. This a wonderful resource for Steamboat dogs and owners. Wide open acres for off leash playing. Great improvements with watering station and covered benches. Our two dogs love running and socializing with the other canine visitors. One can’t miss the poop bags at the entry if you didn’t bring your own.
