The man working today was very arrogant and not at all a people person. Yesterday we called the store to confirm they had the correct battery we needed, drove an hour to the store, and was told they do not have it in stock. He then said “I made it very clear to the person I spoke to on the phone that we only had 30AH, not 50AH. You might not have been speaking to me, though…” in a very condescending tone, despite the fact that he did NOT make it clear that they didn’t have 50AH. We’ve purchased and sold countless batteries for countless machines for decades and understand the necessity of double checking size and amp before purchasing.
We then looked online, and it says very clearly online that the battery we were looking for is in store, and ready for pick up. After returning a second time after seeing this, he says “it says we have everything in stock because we can order it” and then said “we do have that battery in stock but yours isn’t as tall as that one” and then took us to the shelf, only to show us a 44AH and 55AH battery, not the 50AH that the website says is in stock. I’m not confident that the man working today actually understands batteries enough to be working at this store without another employee with him, as he was not only too condescending to deal with, but he changed his mind or showed us incorrect items every time we questioned something he said.
If the website says something is in stock that is not, that’s obviously not his fault and it should be fixed, but we called and he incorrectly told us it was in stock and then tried to argue he never did so. It seemed as if he didn’t want to go through the trouble of actually checking which batteries he had, and just went off of memory, because he didn’t want to waste his own time. I highly recommend talking with this employee about customer interactions and properly discussing items with customers before...
Read moreHaven't had the experiences that I believe they intend to give. I would like to think that when searching for a specific battery, it would end right there. It happens for us about 75% of the time. The other 25%... can be frustrating. Twice now, they have promised to research an odd battery by stating that they will call me the next day or days to let me know of availability. The last time however hit a sore spot. After telling my wife that "batteries plus will know what to do" I stopped in with our WII rechargable battery pack that would no longer charge on a Friday. Two nice guys looked it over, and said they may not be able to find a replacement, but could have the manager check into rebuildING it on Monday They told me I would be called on the following Monday Hadn't received a call by Wednesday, so I stopped in. When I inquired about my battery, a young lady said " oh yah, it's on my desk". When she returned, she laid it on the counter and said "can't rebuild it" and offered no suggestions. I took it home, found a hidden screw, opened it up and simply replaced the two rechargable AAA batteries. I'm not a battery expert, but Batteries Plus...
Read moreMy experience began with calling ahead to see if an older cellphone battery was in stock. I'm unsure who picked up, but the service was prompt, and to the point. Important note: they had 8 of them in stock! I jetted right over and was greeted by a gentleman (I didn't catch his name, but he had a mohawk), who picked up where my call left off. He tested the batterm my phone needed to make sure it'd work before I spent my money, and installed it for me (simple but the gesture speaks volumes). He taught me quickly about how to make sure the battery got longevity and even coached me on how to take care of some software issues I'd had on my phone. After the end of our (about) 10 minute conversation, he called me by my first name( again, super simple, but so refreshing!) I felt like my little transaction mattered. Hands down the best retail service I've ever had, all inside 15...
