Update:
I wish I could say my second visit was as good as my first, but it fell short. The language barrier created some confusion. I asked the woman at the front for a male masseuse, and she nodded and led me to the room. But a few minutes later, she came in herself and started the massage.
The massage was okay—not as firm as I would have liked. Then, at the end, she said something I could not understand and left the room. Since she had not touched my hands, feet, or face, I assumed the massage was still in progress. But after about five minutes, she returned and told me it was finished.
It was not a terrible experience, but for the price, I expected better—especially since I did not get what I asked for. I probably will not return. I visited Lan Spa Massage during a slower time and had a pretty good experience. I was greeted promptly and shown to a room, where the therapist asked how long I’d like the massage to be. There was a bit of a language barrier when trying to explain where I was feeling pain, but once the massage started, that didn’t really matter—the therapist did a great job. Nothing quite like having someone walk on your back to work out the knots!
The atmosphere wasn’t the quietest, but it wasn’t distracting either. After the massage, I paid and tipped 20%, which I think is reasonable for an hour of hard work. Unlike some places, I wasn’t pressured to tip more, which I appreciated. Overall, a solid experience, and...
Read moreI will never again set foot in this establishment. I had the worst experience during my massage. I went in for a massage and halfway through my massage, someone opens the door and stands there with the door open with me unclothed on the table having a conversation with my masseuse. 5min into the conversation the person at the door proceeds to come into the room, taps me and asks me to get up and go to a different room to finish my massage because they needed that room for someone else. I’m laying there confused as to why I need to get up in the middle of my massage to go to another room so they can put someone else in that room. She tells me to wrap the thin white sheet around my naked body to walk out of the room. I tell the lady how unprofessional it was to walk into my session to remove me from a room and that if I get up then I am going to be leaving. She tells me « oh if you don’t want to fine » and leaves the room. I spend the rest of my massage pissed off and not receiving the relaxing experience I went there for. My massage is finished and no one apologizes for the way I have been treated and it’s just business as usual. Literally cannot believe this happened and how...
Read moreBooked for one hour foot massage for me and my daughter. My Tech stopped 3 times ( twice to help at front desk— which I understand) and once just stopped and left without saying anything. She was gone almost 15 mins yet didn’t give me that time back and was still charged for a full hour In addition, my daughter’s tech had her cell phone on and it was constantly going off with notifications as well as getting 3 phone calls that seemed to ring forever! And of course— the two techs talked almost nonstop to each other in their native tongue. There was NOTHING about my experience that was calming and relaxing. I’ve been here a few times before and the constant interruptions and rudeness with talking with each other back and forth is , unfortunately, to be expected. But to cut my massage by 15 mins and still charge me full price AND mention a tip to me is utterly unacceptable. ( I did NOT tip— and I’m usually. Generous tipper) I would not recommend this place if you’re trying to get...
