Stockton Civic Theatre — Attraction in Stockton

I went to see Something Rotten last night. It was my first time at the Stockton Civic Theater and I was very impressed! The Theater was lovely and very comfortable. The staff was welcoming from the box office to the doorman to the ushers! The show was performed so professionally that I felt that I was back in New York. If there were any flaws with the sound, lights, or backstage activities, they were not perceptible. The cast and stage crew were outstanding! This production was several notches above any community theater I had ever seen before. The singing and dancing was outstanding. Comedy is not easy to perform, but the cast handled it beautifully. Didn't know if I would like it. But it's actually a really good time. Great actors! And whoever does the stage builds is pretty impressive for Stockton. A lot of elderly people here, but don't let that effect your decision to come. Your phone HAS to be off or on silent. And unless it's an emergency you DO NOT leave your seat till intermission. So if you're addicted to your phone you probably won't have the best time. I really find it a fun time! I come with my Mom, sister and her daughter, my 93 year old grandma(still drives and is sharp as a tack!), and her friends. Some shows are better than others, but you can really tell they put it all out there every time! Definitely try out! And then you can get season tickets with assigned seats if you want a good...

I haven't yet entered the theater yet. I bought tickets to a show with my son. Parking is limited to street parking and there are apartment complexes surrounding the theater. Also close is a fresh bakery and a small strip for different stores. Near the end is the Mongolian Beef restaurant. (Which I haven't been to in years.) Unfortunately at this time I didn't take pictures, but when I go to the play I will update with more information and photos. Don't fully rely on GPS either.
