Update: Wednesday, December 25, p.m. A mix of good and bad tonight at dinner. The food was generally good. I had grilled salmon, broccoli, a side of buttered pasta, a salad, hush puppies, and cheddar biscuits. The salmon was good. Broccoli was OK. The pasta… Well it was just pasta. The salad was good. I would not order the hush puppies again. They were not worth. The cheddar biscuits were really good and fresh. My son had the three different kinds of shrimp. He was OK with his dinner. Service was bad. I don’t know why. Maybe they were overbooked and understaffed. Our dining experience took 2 1/2 hours. I swear…we were there from 5 PM to 7:30 PM. Our server seemed quite disorganized. It was 10 to 15 minutes between any interaction for service/food. I think my biggest disappointment was they were out of mayonnaise for my broccoli. I was looking forward to that all day and they did not even have any packets of mayo. One nice thing they did for me since I’m on low salt diet, they made cheddar biscuits without salt. That was very accommodating! And… I believe in the past you used to have a choice of a salad or clam chowder with your dinner. Now they charge you for both‼️‼️ I ordered an extra portion of salmon… $17‼️‼️🤦🏻♂️ I believe Red Lobster has a new CEO. I hope he’s taking this restaurant in the right direction. I was a bit unhappy tonight. ———————- update: Friday, December 29, 2023 PM
Excellent service from our server, Yessii! The best items here tonight were the fresh hot soft steamy cheddar cheese biscuits and the clam chowder. The lobster artichoke dip was OK but it’s over priced it almost $17. The chips were good. My son enjoyed his platter of two different kinds of shrimp. I had the Admiral feast which, to me, was not worth $28. All the items had had way too much batter. I would say half of each item was batter. The tiny little sea scallops were the size of your fingernail with heavy batter. The fish was 1/8 inch thick with twice the amount of batter. The clams, I really didn’t eat them. They were pretty much just pieces of fried batter. The shrimp were probably the best thing on the plate. But…most of the food was a lot warmer than last time, which was my major complaint. Microwave maybe? I had a 10% off email discount and they stacked that on top of the 10% military discount which I appreciated! Thank you. ———————— Update: Sunday, December 25, 2022Christmas
Everything was OK tonight except the temperature of my meal! I’m sure it was sitting in the kitchen before they delivered it getting cold. When I pay $47 for some rice and three pieces of salmon I would at least like it hot. What’s so hard about delivering a hot meal at a restaurant?? The second round of cheddar biscuits were better than the first though not as good as they were 10 years ago. The clam chowder was good. Evidently Willie our server was overworked. I think he said he had 14 or 17 tables to serve. But I guess I should be thankful they were at least open on Christmas day and the employees were willing to work! Thanks...
Read moreIf I could give a Zero I would. We were there yesterday for a birthday lunch with 9 of us. The place was empty and we were there for 2 hours and the only reason we were there that long was because the service was slow! And we had 2 waitresses (Alex and Teresa) to "make it quicker and easier", their system was not quicker and easier. Alex had a little more personality than teresa but they both were very unsure of themsleves and acted as if they were new. I ordered the maple glazed chicken and they brought out a disappointing portion. When I got the bill I learned they gave me a lunch maple glazed chicken, which I did not know they had on weekends and when I said something about the plate being so small to Teresa she just carried on like I didn't say anything when she was looking me in the eyes. It took forever for everyone to get the refills on shrimp and even then they brought them out at random times or not at all. The scampi's barely had any flavor or sauce. Most of them were over cooked. The group I was with doesn't usually complain so I didnt want to make a scene by asking for the manager, but it was so bad they were irritated by the time we left. One person gave Alex her bill and card. Then over 10 minutes later Teresa comes back and we had to get her attention so we could pay our bill because we just wanted to leave. We finally get our receipts sign everything and we still had to wait because Alex hadn't brought back the other persons card. She finally comes back and said she handed it off to the other waitress and the other waitress must have forgotten. There was no communication between the two. They cleared our table after we were done with our salads and after that they wouldnt clear our table yet kept bringing more plates. I had 4 big plates stacked up from other people before they were taken. I come to this store once a year with my Man's family for endless shrimp and I always thought the Stockton Service was better than the Modesto service especially for endless shrimp (Which is where I live and I go to several times a year...

I get an order and dash over there (excuse my pun lol) and I'm told to wait, which is fine. I was only two minutes away when I got the order and knew it probably wouldn't be ready til 9pm. But as I was waiting, one of the servers or hosts (not sure which) started loudly complaining about how fast Dashers arrive and that hes tired of it and wants Doordash to stop bla bla bla. It made me extremely uncomfortable and frankly downright angry. Like, look dude, I'm doing a job! You're paid by the HR, I get paid per delivery! The faster I can turn them in the more orders I can potentially get. Don't talk down to me for being early and doing my JOB! It's not my fault you're slow. If you cant handle it maybe you shouldn't offer deliveries. To top it off all HE was doing was standing there talking, not like he was cooking or serving or doing ANYTHING giving him the right to complain. Of course, unlike him I said nothing rude and kept my thoughts to myself. So yeah, I don't recommend this Red Lobster. Downright rude host or whatever. Subway had more class and they're food is cheaper. I left the restaurant simply saying "Sorry for being early". At least one guy was polite enough to say "No it's ok....
