A great place to eat and gobto the movies...or just go to eat or just go to the movies! The restaurant allows u to order food and bring it into the theater but allow yourself Plenty of time because it is very busy in there so you need to get your seats First then order your food. Sometimes the bartender which is who u order food from let's u give your phone number and texts you when it's ready so u don't need to stand n wait, however I have been there on occasion where I've been told he was too busy to do that. But I think they get a nice tip if u get to watch ur movie without missing any of it but a minut or two. If you go for just the movie, arrive early to pick your seats. The theaters are small and private, so if you are selective this is important. The restaurant service and food is nice. Not a huge wine selection, but various drinks. Lots of burgers. Flatbreads are amazing! And the Nachos are Giant!! All plates are rather large. The seating on the right israther squished n the hostess has to keep asking you to move if you are down the middle and Im assuming on the oppposite side where the seating is by the bar. That is why I give it 4 stars. Way too jammed and because there is ONLY 2 handicapped Parking Spots on the ENTIRE street. Not nearly enough in the summer. I'm disabled so that matters! Does that have to do with the restaurant? In my opinion yes, since it is their accessibility to...
Read moreUnfortunately, I did not get to go in to the movie theatre....thanks to CORONAVIRUS....but, luckily, since I have lived here every summer of my 52 years of life so far, I can say say that I have been in those theatres and they are wonderful. What I feel the need to remark on is the dinner we ate at the Harbor Burger Bar that sits at the entrance to the theatres. I don't know who the chef is there this summer other than to say the waitress would tell "her" my compliment. The food was INCREDIBLE!!! I ate a burger called Surf and Turf, which consisted of a 1/2 think, juicy, flavorful and PERFECTLY cooked medium burger with lettuce, tomato, onion and lump crab meat drenched in a mouth watering remoulade sauce!!! What upset me was myself eating it too fast!!!!!! That burger was so good I never even sat it back down on the plate! I told our waitress that it was so incredibly good and perfect that I literally wanted to "kiss the cook"! My 20 year old son had the Texas Burger, because it had bacon on it, and my twin sister had the Bleuarugula Burger. Both of them never put their burgers down either and both remarked how perfectly cooked and juicy theirs were as well! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone who visits Stone Harbor, New Jersey, or lives near by, go to the Harbor Burger Bar for lunch or dinner at the Harbor Square Theatre on 96th Street.....you will NOT be...
Read moreWent to see The Haunting in Venice Monday evening. Only seven people attended which was nice. Theater was clean and the seats comfortable. Towards the end of the film just as Hercule Poirot was identifying the murderer the film projector went wonky. And it was difficult to hear and see the film for maybe 5 minutes. Not good. I mentioned this to a young lady about to clean up and movie goers were leaving. She said she would tell her supervisor. As we were exiting she was doing just that. We went over to speak to the manager and he said he was AWARE of the problem and would tell his boss when the boss came into work the next day. So they have been showing a film with a balled up projector for how long? It wasn't urgent that people paid money to see this film, it was urgent we missed part of the dialogue. Totally wrong on the establishments part. They should get the projector fixed asap. Then went to the ladies room and there was no hand soap. Where is the manager? Where is the owner? They boast during the adverts it is the best independently owned movie house in the country,...
