Stone Harbor Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Stone Harbor

As we walked up to the front of the restaurant. We asked if we can just go to the bar and order a drink. Things seems like and the 2 girls in the front was very polite. We found 2 open seats because at this time it was around 8:45pm. The bar wasn't crowded at all. Things were pretty quite. We sat down for about 10 minutes. No one said hi, or came up to us to see what we wanted to order from the bar. There were about 3 people at the bar this whole time. Seems like they were doing everything possible to not make eye contact with us. They even asked the people around us if they needed anything else. Not saying this place only wanted to help certain people but that's what it felt like. If the bar was busy I can understand but it seem like they were trying to do everything else but to get our orders. So 10 minutes pass, we just couldn't sit there anymore without being served. So my wife and I got up and left. Didn't think things like this would be happen in a nice town of Cape May. Definitely left a salty feeling in us. But there were plenty of bars next to this one so we took our money else where. If you work here and you are reading this. Just do better guys. Don't let things like this happen often. My 11 year old daughter ordered mild buffalo chicken fingers. Instead they delivered her chicken with their Ghost Pepper Sauce. The menu offered a warning about this sauce. Of course she takes a large, unsuspecting bite. Within seconds she’s in tears. I took a bite because I couldn’t understand how mild wings carried so much heat. It was so incredibly hot, I couldn’t eat my own meal. I politely expressed my frustration that such a mistake could be made. I asked to take my food to go along with our bill. To my dismay, we were charged for my daughters meal. When I told the server I was surprised they were going to charge us for the chicken that wasn’t touched after the initial bite, she ripped my bill and credit card from my hands and stormed off. Someone else returned with our discounted bill. Frankly, our dinner was ruined and our entire meal should’ve been comped. Mistakes happen. Good service can help overcome those mistakes. First visit, would come back. We received a gift certificate as a give and decided to use it today for a late lunch. The decor is very nicely done and modern. It smelled clean but the bathroom floors were dirty and the waitstaff purses were on the bar stools so a little room for improvement there. Our family of 2 adults and 3 kids ordered burgers, pasta, and buffalo chicken wrap. Everyone liked the food. The burgers were a little greasy but good. The fries and homemade chips were good, as was the kids pasta. I had the buffalo chicken wrap which was VERY good. Service was good and attentive and the prices were reasonable. It was Sunday and the Eagles game was on and they had the sound turned up pretty loud but once the game ended it was turned down. I'm a fan so actually hearing the game was a plus but a few in our party thought it was too loud.
