Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. I got into the hotel super early; like 10:30 a.m. and the computers were down so the young lady at the desk couldn’t check room availability for me. I did have a reservation, but wanted to know if I could check in early. She offered for me to sit in the lobby area and wait for the computers to come back up. She said it could take a few hours. I wasn’t too keen on that idea, but what other option did I have in the moment. No sooner than I sat down she came to tell me the computers were back up. I was able to check into my room and I was too happy. The room was nicely decorated. A lot of hotels are minimizing the number of items that are left out. The microwave and fridge were inside cabinets. The closet was a decent size and I really liked my view. What I didn’t like though…..the coffee maker in the room was disgusting. It looked like it had not been cleaned in months. I was just about to make some coffee when I looked inside and changed my mine because I became sick to my stomach. There was some information in the room that said they offered a shuttle. I called down to the front desk and requested to go pick up some food. The driver was named Reginald. He was so kind and helpful. He took me to two restaurants and a store. By the time I got back, I had food, drinks, and some snacks. I ate my food next to the fire pit and then retired to my room to end my night. The hotel backs up to some water and people were kayaking. It was a beautiful site. There are several places to shop and eat within 5 minutes of this hotel. I also found a lot of things to do online. If I had been staying for the weekend, I definitely would not have been bored. The staff here were so nice and helpful. I’d stay here again if I were in the area.

My stay was 4-13-2024 to 4-15-2024 I originally booked my stay through Capital One. Later on I called and spoke with Kent to add my Marriott member number to take advantage of the early check in and late check out. He said I won’t get any points. I will however get nights counted towards my account. (Found this out to be untrue) Upon check in. It took over 20mins to get checked in. Cause the lady at the front desk didn’t quite know what she was doing. She asked me if I wanted free breakfast or points. I was confused by this but took the points. (Found out from Capital One that breakfast was included in my stay). Ended up charging my card 3 different charges. 150.00, 1.00, and 50.00. Upon check out it took more time. Days later the 50.00 and 1.00 charge fell off. The 150.00 dropped down to 122.36 stayed. I called back 4-17-2024 several lady’s that handed the phone back and forth to each other it kept saying the 122.36 was for a bar charge. Another lady said its just how the incidentals charge is. It will fall off. I called back and on 4-20-2024 Talked with the same lady’s again. They said it’s for room damage charge and bar charge. Another lady said it was a room charge plus bar charge. At that point I was aggravated. Asked for a manager. DANIEL supposedly corrected everything. The initial check-in lady ended up charging my room for 1 night. Someone ended up charging my room for bar and snacks. They were supposed to charge some mastercard for whatever 3rd party travel party Capital One uses. He assured me that the charge will fall off 5-7 days. As of May 1st nothings fallen off. I called and left a voicemail for DANIEL 4-29-2024. Tried calling twice today. May 1st and they wont answer my calls. Actually picking up and hanging up. Attached screen shots of the calls.

This hidden gem is nestled in the heart of Sugar Land and despite living here for years, I never would've known that it existed. It's off the beaten path but was a nice oasis of solitude and tranquility. The location is within minutes of First Colony Mall, a plethora of restaurants of all price ranges ( from fast food and moderately priced up to Vic and Anthony's). There are plenty of other local and national banks, shopping and all of the services you can imagine- although there's not too much in the immediate walkable distance. I visited for a retreat and it was the perfect spot! The rooms were clean and inviting and the view from my room was unexpectedly refreshing including the bonus with people rowing on the river early in the morning. The lobby was very inviting and was a central meeting spot although the only issue I took was when a friend cut her finger on the back of one of the chairs, the person at the front desk wasn't as responsive as I think he could've been- which is why I took off for service. It was a pretty deep cut too! But all in all, when I need another staycation, I'll definitely keep this hotel in mind!

This was the second time my wife and I had stayed at this Courtyard Marriott location. Both stays were planned so we could rest and get a good nights sleep near St Luke’s Hospital were I was scheduled to have surgery the next morning. Our first stay on 4/17/19 was a pleasant experience. The room was clean and comfortable and we were able to get plenty of rest prior to my early morning surgery. Our next stay on 7/29/19 was just the opposite. The bathroom floor and commode had several long 12-14 inches black hairs laying around that I cleaned up. We killed two earwigs crawling on the floor during the night. The bathroom door was dragging so tight against the threshold that we could not close it. While taking a shower the water leaked out on the floor at the bottom of the glass shower door creating a large puddle that we dried up. But the worst part of this visit was being awakened at 1:00 am by kids bouncing what sounded like a baseball bouncing off the floor and walls, hollering out and laughing. By the time I was fully awake and went down to the lobby to ask for help to get the noise stopped there was no one working the desk. I sat in the lobby reading until 3:30 am and never saw anyone to ask for help. After two blurry eyed people showered and left for the hospital as I walked past the front desk the young lady working smiled and ask did you enjoy your stay. I stated to her that no ma’am I was awakened at 1:00 am by kids playing loudly and bouncing a ball to which she replied (and this is not a joke) “have...
