I recently had the pleasure of dining at Gyu-Kaku, and what truly stood out to me during this visit was the incredible service provided by Khoung and Anna.
Throughout the course of our meal, we ran into an issue with our grill—it just wouldn’t cooperate. Whether it was the flame not lighting properly, the heat not being evenly distributed, or the grill itself needing adjustments, Khoung stepped in not once, not twice, but five times to fix it for us. Each time, he approached the situation with patience, professionalism, and a genuine desire to ensure we had the best experience possible. What really impressed me was his willingness to explain what was going wrong with the grill while reassuring us that he would resolve it. It showed not only his technical expertise but also his thoughtfulness. Many people in his position might have seemed annoyed after being called over so many times, but Khoung handled each instance with a smile and never made us feel like we were inconveniencing him. His persistence and problem-solving skills turned what could have been a disaster into a positive part of our night.
Anna, on the other hand, was simply flawless throughout the entire meal. From the moment we were seated, she exuded warmth and attentiveness that made us feel genuinely cared for. She ensured that our drinks were always filled, our food came out promptly, and any questions we had about the menu were answered with clear and helpful recommendations. Anna also checked in on us regularly, but not in a way that felt intrusive—her timing was always impeccable. What really stood out about Anna was how calm and composed she was, even when the grill situation caused delays. She coordinated seamlessly with Khoung to make sure everything else about our dining experience remained smooth and enjoyable. Her attention to detail and positive energy truly elevated the evening.
Thanks to both Khoung and Anna, what could have been a frustrating experience with the grill turned into one of the most memorable restaurant visits I’ve had. Their teamwork, professionalism, and genuine care for their customers made the evening truly enjoyable. I can’t thank them enough for going above and beyond, and I will definitely be returning to this location because of their...
Read moreIt was our second time visiting a Guy Kaku restaurant with my husband and father , who was visiting from another country, and we had an absolutely delightful experience. The concept of grilling our own meat at the table was such a fun and interactive way to enjoy our meal. Everything we tried tasted incredibly fresh, and the timing of each dish being served was perfect. Our waitress, Veronica, truly stood out and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. She was extremely polite, always ready to offer recommendations and suggestions tailored to our tastes. Veronica has such a pleasant demeanor that we found ourselves wanting to engage in conversation with her. She took the time to explain every detail, always greeted us with a smile, and genuinely seemed happy to assist us throughout our meal.Bringing my father, who was experiencing the restaurant for the first time, was a great decision. He immediately noticed Veronica's excellent service and attentiveness. We're definitely planning to return soon, as we were thoroughly impressed by the outstanding service, hospitality, and overall experience. A big thank you to the staff for providing such exceptional service and making our...
Read moreIf you are going with a small party of 2-4, I would rate the establishment 5/5 on all fronts.
For parties between 5-7 this is a miserable experience. The restaurant seems to think 7 adult people can fit at a table with single grill. Combine this with all you can eat and you are struggling to 1) have anyone eat even remotely close to the same time and 2) because of that you are butting up against the time cutoff with either some people hardly eating at all or everyone basically getting just snacks.
This is blatantly an attempt to try and maximize headcount at the expense of customer experience. This restaurant is expensive, guests should not leave hungry or spend their entire dining experience crammed at a tiny table. This is absolutely unacceptable. Even if you call ahead and explain how miserable the experience was and request 2 grills, they claim they cannot guarantee the request will be fulfilled. I had an upcoming reservation for 6 people that I cancelled because of this and will take my business elsewhere.
If your party falls into the above size, either lie about your reservation size or walk in separately then ask for side by side tables as if you were...
