Average at best. Went to see fantastic beasts after COVID restrictions and left less than impressed. The screen was out of focus and very dim. Remember the Game of Thrones Dark Night episode that no one could actually see? Well, same here for dark and night scenes. There is a sub-plot in the film involving mirror writing that I could barely make out. I was worried my eyes were bad until I heard a few people whispering to each other, "what does it say?!". So that was a missed plot point due to poorly maintained equiment.
At the 3/4 mark a fire alarm rang out and of course we all stand to leave. When we reach the exit we're informed it was a false alarm and back to our seats we return. We missed at most two minutes of the film. 10 minutes later the film suddenly glitches and starts back before the fire drill. I go to ask if there is a glitch and I'm told no---they reset the projectors without telling anyone.
I went back in and looked towards the dim screen of theatre 10 and considered rewatching the same dull and dim 10 minutes again and realized I was leaving. Their are no recliners, the screen is dim, the focus is worse than my home tv, and the service isn't there. I told them this before leaving and nothing was said.
I expected more, Georgia Theatre Company. The dollar cinema is at...
Read moreI frequently attend Beacon Stadium Cinemas and though of course I am often disappointed by the movies that are shown I am always pleased by the prompt courteous service I receive from the ticket-takers and the friendly folks at the concession stand, who know, as they like to say, "that a flick without a buttered popcorn is like a breast without a nipple!" However, I get the impression that few of my fellow audience members are aware of a Beacon feature that I and many others have been enjoying for some time now . . . so next time, be sure to ask the manager about Beacon's secret underground roller-skating rink and petting zoo. An October 2018 visit to the Beacon to see First Man was wonderful. The audience for the 7:10 show consisted of about forty codgers, perhaps in their late teens, twenties and early thirties when the Eagle landed, and all of us sat through all of the final credits, a true sign of stunned respect for a fine film. But. One thing. That popcorn. It's no longer popped on site, I suspect: it's emptied straight out of a huge bag into the pseudo-popper. Hey, guys, this reviewer CAN TASTE THE DIFFERENCE AND THE DIFFERENCE IS A GRAVE...
Read moreCould u make it any more boring or low budget? Take toothpics to keep your eyes open. 4 men in rags walking in the desert talking consumes 80% of the movie. The flashbacks were confusing. Hard to tell who was who and also a bore. Sahra was recorded to be extremely beautiful and desirable. This actress was a short skinny rail with a pretty badly tattooed face and constantly complaining. Abram was rich and powerful with many slaves and heardsmen. Sahra voluptuous.
The message was not clear I thought about the connection to Jesus, Gods Only Son and why blood must be spilt and Gods Son must die. Garden of Eden scenes would have been better flashbacks to explain it. Disappointing.
These 5 star theater disciples are obviously Goose Stepping together in loyalty to the Great Commission and desperate for any Christian witness movie at all. In Lock Step they give all Christian movies 5 stars regardless of content if they give this poorly done sleeper an excellent rating imho and I am a Christian.
The modern day 60's documentary, Jesus Revolution was so much better and authentic at being sandel and rag wearing hippies both filmed in...
