Game Vault Florida — Attraction in Tallahassee

We recently discovered this place after my son got into Pokemon. It's a cool shop that sells not only Pokemon cards but also lots of sports cards. They seemed to have a good selection of all kinds of cards, including some stuff not in the display cases. The manager was friendly and helpful while my son picked out some Pokemon cards and packs he wanted. The packs he bought were priced on par with most other shops, but the individual cards we bought were WAY overpriced compared to what you would find over the internet for the same cards. My son was pretty disappointed after he got home and looked up the average prices for what he selected and discovered he paid 4 or 5 times the value. I get that there is some variation in pricing on collectibles, but it kind of soured the whole experience for us. We'll shop...

So excited to have found this store, on my birthday no-less! Great selection of cards. I collect baseball cards specifically but this store has cards covering all the major sports plus gaming cards like Pokemon. I purchased a couple of baseball packs one of which had a Ted Williams card Topps 35th anniversary in it, which made my day. I also enjoyed flipping through the hundreds of sports cards that had been organized into boxes of varying prices (10 for $1, 25cents each, $2 each etc.). Maybe organize them by sport and teams? If you're looking for a volunteer I'd be happy to do that. It would be nice if a local sports card community grows with Monkey's as its base.
