MacFarlane Park — Attraction in Tampa

2 playground, parking lot on 2 sides and in the middle, and on the road past the basketball courts. Several bathrooms. Several gazebos with a couple picnic tables under each. I really like this park! My kids (10&2) really enjoyed all the neat things to do on the bigger playground. Musical "toys", a couple swings (2 available for kids with disabilities) 2 bench swings a whole family can fit on. Small area for little ones to play on decent tho, a huge play house my daughter played in for awhile. Also has sand play area and slides on the bigger kid area of the playground. Dont live in Tampa but I am in the area often...would drive 20 mins out my way to take my kids here. I love i can follow my daughter around on the equipment, which means those in wheelchairs can access most areas too. There is a walking trail that has several "activities" to do like chin ups and such along the way. Awesome...

This park is awesome for toddlers on up. They have a fantastic playground in the center of the park with lots of built-in xylophone type instruments. They have a sand pit, swings, lots of benches for parents to sit and watch their kids. They also have covered areas with tables for picnics. They have plenty of off street parking as well.

We drive an extra 10 minutes or so to take out kids to this park because they love it so much.

The other biggest feature that this park has, that most of the parks do not is Shade! There are a lot of mature trees in and around the playground area that provide ample shade. If you want your kids to have fun, and don't want to sit in the sweltering direct sunlight (and not have your kids get burned on a playset that is too hot), then this is the...

We went here to try and celebrate my sons first birthday and almost all the spots were taken up and the only one that wasn't was right next to the play ground and so we set up. Half way through the party kids were pulling his presents off of the table and unwrapping them and taking goodie bags off of the tables and trying to yell and scream because we were trying to get them to stop. While their parents were watching them do it. They didn't say one word just walked up and sat there and pretended they couldn't see it happening. Mind you none of these children were the ones that were invited to his party. Also their were a ton of bumble bees flying around the food.
