Since setting roots in Tampa five years ago, one of the cravings that gnawed at me was for a good, old-fashioned butcher - the kind that I was accustomed to during my time outside the country. There’s something undeniably comforting about a butcher who knows his cuts and crafts them with the precision of an artist. I am thrilled to announce that I have found such a sanctuary in Tampa, and it has been nothing short of a culinary revelation.
The minute you step into this butcher shop, you are transported into a realm where meat is treated with the reverence it deserves. The first thing that catches the eye is the immaculate display of cuts. From the marbling of the steaks to the perfect symmetry of the chops, it’s evident that there’s a masterful hand at work here.
But a display, albeit alluring, is just the façade. The true test lies in the taste, and by all that is holy in the kingdom of carnivores, this butcher delivers. The cuts are not just visually appealing; they are packed with flavor. Cooking these cuts was akin to orchestrating a symphony – they seared beautifully, retained their juices, and the end result was a plate that would make a gourmet chef nod in approval.
What amplifies the experience is the service. The butcher is not just skilled with the blade but is also a treasure trove of knowledge. Whether it’s guidance on the ideal cut for your recipe or tips on cooking, the wisdom is shared with a genuine smile and an evident passion for the craft.
To all the meat lovers who have sought refuge in Tampa, and to those who appreciate the fine art of butchery, this place is your Mecca. It’s not just about procuring good cuts; it’s about being part of a tradition that celebrates quality and the sheer joy that well-crafted meat can bring...

I don't like throwing around the term "hidden gem" around a lot, but this spot is legitimately just that. Those who are local are in the know about what an amazing, high-quality, delicious spot they are blessed with. The owner Andrew was kind enough to give us a run down of his business and its history, including how they farm raise all their own hogs. All their beef is locally sourced, and just about everything is scratch made in-house. They do everything from different types of jerky to house cured meats that'll impress your charcuterie eating friends, to great cuts of meats for your dinners, hot sauces, rubs, and so much more! We came for the restaurant side and were not let down! My favorite dish was the "back to bed," which was a smoked gouda biscuit smothered in a chorizo gravy and collard greens and a poached egg. I loved the biscuit, and that chorizo gravy was rich and delectable. I could eat that happily for any day and meal! You can't go wrong with any of their dishes, but make sure you finish your meal with the absolute best bread pudding you will ever have. It was like a combo of French toast and bread pudding served warm. The scoop of ice cream with it is a must as well. Needless to say, The Boozy Pig is going to be a return spot for me next time I am in Tampa! Can't wait to...
Read morePlease read. I don’t ever write reviews. This is my 2nd review I’ve ever written. As a health conscious God fearing young man, I feel it is my duty to inform the public why you should be visiting this place weekly. Here is why:
They have RAW MILK. Yes, raw from a local Tampa farm. Stop drinking that tasteless, pasteurized garbage from the store. Raw dairy has so many health benefits. Pro tip - drizzle some of that cream on top on some fresh berries.
They use BEEF TALLOW. This means the best tasting, healthiest french fries you can find. I’m sure they use it on other menu items too.
They have the healthiest local grass fed, GRASS FINISHED meat. They own a local pig farm and are connected to a butcher shop. They support local farms. Meat the way humans were meant to eat it. The sandwiches are incredible. Their beef jerky is amazing too.
The food from here tastes so good and leaves me feeling great. It is probably the healthiest food I found in Tampa. Bill Gates would burn this place to the ground if he found out about it. Big Pharma would go bankrupt if everyone ate real whole foods like this.
Question for you. If a vegan and a vegetarian jumped off a cliff to see who would hit the ground first, who would win?
Society....
