I brought my Marshall TSL 100 in for repair to be retubed and biased on 2/25/2021. I was warned that they were pretty backed up and it could be at least 30 days before someone could even look at it. I agreed to leave it and pay the $60 deposit toward diagnosing and repair. I let 43 days go by before calling to check on the status. I spoke with one of the techs who told me it had not been looked at yet, but that he would try to get it on the bench by that weekend and he would call to let me know the status. I let another month go by with no word from them and I called again on 5/13/2021. I spoke with the guy at the front desk. He stated that it did not look like anyone had touched it yet. He admitted that this was unacceptable, and heâd make sure someone got on it and that someone would contact me soon. Well, no one had contacted me by 6/7/2021, so I called back. I spoke with a technician who stated he would get it on the bench and get me an estimate that afternoon. He ended up calling back with the estimate, but he discovered during the diagnosis that the effects loop jacks were damaged. So if I wanted him to replace those when he did the retubing they would need to order the parts. Ok fine, theyâd already had my amp for 3 months at this point. Whatâs another week or so to wait for the parts to come in? So on 6/18/2021, when I hadnât heard anything I called and spoke with the guy at the front desk. He stated that the parts had not come in yet. I asked that someone contact me to let me know when the parts arrive. I waited 3 more weeks without hearing anything before I called again last Friday (7/9/2021) and spoke with a technician who stated the jacks had come in (someone was supposed to call when the part arrived), and now he just needed to devote the time to install them. He said he would try to get to it that afternoon or maybe even then next day, Saturday. Unsurprisingly, I never heard back. Today is 7/16/2021. I called again at noon and spoke to the guy at the front desk. He stated that he needed to speak to the service manager before he could advise me, but that he believed they were on the verge of completing the repair. However, the service manager was busy at the moment. So I asked to have him contact me before the end of the day. Lo and behold, 5:00 came and went and I never heard a word. I am beyond frustrated. I feel like I am either being lied to every time I call, or at least not getting the whole story. Did something go wrong with the repair and now they are stalling me to cover their behinds? Why would it take this long?! And why do I have to be the one to keep initiating contact? Shouldnât they be keeping me advised on the status of my repair? I have been extremely patient, but this is ridiculous. I have another guitar amp that needs repair, but I will consider driving to Orlando before taking it here even though I live...
Read moreGreat Friendly Staff, Very Professional and Experienced Staff . As soon as you enter you are greeted from happy faces at the check in window that are happy to help you. Mike the Owner and his very experienced technician Ron helped me get my Fender American Vintage Telecaster Deluxe sounding great. I had it delivered to me with problems from the store new. Others on YouTube were having the same problems with grounding issues and tone and volume controls that resulted in intermittent and unreliable sounds from pots that were unresponsive. Mike and Ron checked out my grounding issues and fixed them and also swapped out some non responsive capacitors and put more responsive capacitors in my Telecaster. This has greatly changed the response from the pots and the tone and volume sounds 110% better. If I remember correctly they changed the capacitors or resistors ( I forget , sorry I am old ) from .2 to .47 or .02 to .047 again I forgot exactly what was changed . Now the sound is clearer , brighter and deeper , and wow what control I have now. Amazing Sound now. I went from being disappointed with my new guitar sound to making it one of my favorite guitars to play. Thanks Again Ron and Mike Fender should pay attention to what you did here so they can make this model sound so much better and responsive and make their customer as happy as I am with the reintroduced Cu,Ni,Fe pickups it really brings out the best of them. I trust Pro Audio Electronics with my gear you can too !! Most of all they reay care about the customer...
Read moreI had taken my McIntosh 1900 to Pro Audio for a basic cleaning, inspection and to look at a few issues it was having. I had spoken with Rex and although I was hesitant to leave it with a repair shop that I was not familiar with, he assured me that they are a authorized McIntosh service center and not to worry. The turn around time was quoted to me as several weeks and during the waiting time, Rex called me with any updates and I was able to call at anytime for a status update or any questions I would have. All the staff that I spoke with were very professional and friendly. When I did get my McIntosh back, It was preforming perfectly and looked as good as factory new. (See pic) In addition, over the years, I have sent several McIntosh pieces to noted McIntosh repair technician Terry Dewick in Knoxville and in my personal opinion, if you were to set my Pro Audio 1900 next to a Dewick serviced 1900, you would be very hard pressed to tell the difference if at all. The bottom line is that they do excellent McIntosh work and can be trusted. Thank you Mike, Rex and all the staff at Pro Audio for making my...
