Visiting town for a few days with some friends and family, we were recommended xtreme taco (food truck). we had initially put our order in, and drove about 20 minutes to pick up the tacos. it was a pretty painless experience. upon arriving home, we realized that we were missing 2 tacos which were the last 2 to feed my 72 year old mother. we called xtreme taco and they read the order back to us (which included the missing tacos) and we were assured on the phone that they would replace the missing tacos, free of charge. we then drove another 20 minutes back to the food truck to pick up our missing food. we asked for our food under the order name, and we were told that ”oh yeah” “he checked with the cook and the cook said that all the tacos were there”, and then proceeded to refuse to provide us with the two extra tacos that we had already paid for. the cashier was extremely unapologetic and did not care in the slightest that they had taken our money and were not providing us with the food they missed, and what we had already paid for. we were shocked that they had told us they would replace them and we drove 20 minutes only for them to tell us nevermind at the counter? very poor business ethic in my opinion over tacos that probably cost them $1-$2 to make. can’t get over the cashier who did not care in the slightest and who we told we were going to write a poor review for our dissatisfaction; which was met with an “okay all good have a good night”. will not be returning and sad that i spent any of my money there for, to be honest, pretty...

Yesterday we placed an ordered through Uber Eats, yes, it costs more, but we're fully aware of the fact that we're paying for the convenience of it. We're okay with that and have done it on many occasions before. My wife ordered a quesadilla and asked for vegan cheese, which makes it something like a $20 item. By the time the food was delivered and we sat down to eat, we found that it had real cheese instead of vegan cheese; easy and understandable mistake. We tried to get a refund through Uber Eats because we ordered it through there, but we were only given $2! We had trouble getting a live body from Uber Eats, so we decided to eat the other two items from our three item order and just worry about it later.
Today I asked my wife if she had followed up with them and suggested she call the restaurant for help resolving the issue. She decided to call them, and much to my surprise one room over, the person she spoke with didn't seem interested in helping at all! My wife was told that they didn't have vegan cheese yesterday and that she shouldn't have been able to order it. Our receipt says otherwise, and the employee receiving our call decided to double down. With that, it's with a heavy heart that this establishment has been removed from lives.
Two stars for the memories, thank...
Read moreWe had the vegan bowl with the Seitan barbacoa. I am not exaggerating when I say that it was disgusting. It tasted like they’d soaked it in spaghetti sauce and threw it on the plate. I asked for them to take it off and was told that since I saw (not tasted) the ingredients on the menu, I knew what was on it, so I had to pay for it. Mind you, they make you pay BEFORE YOU EAT. So essentially, I paid over $60 for crap. I’m wondering if it’s this reason for making patrons pay first. The dessert empanada was an old, cold and stale piece of bread with hard rice pieces inside of it. I know this place’s ratings are good and that’s why we came to eat there. But I’m wondering about the taste buds of their normal customers and if they even know what ethnic foods like this are supposed to taste like (in order to be able to discern whether or not they’re actually good). They get a lot of college students, so I’m not the most confident in their reviews. I’m very familiar with ethnic foods and this place was not making them. The most ethnic thing about the place was the reggaeton mix they were playing on the tv. I gave them 2 stars because it was at least edible. However, the atmosphere is very chill and it’s a cool, divey kind of area. The young lady at the front was very nice and...
