No parking. I struggled to find parking for this business that is at the bottom of an apartment building. Everywhere is posted that your car would be towed if you park in the parking lot. I went inside and asked the receptionist who then brought me outside to show me the four spots available for customers to park in. There was one spot left as we watched an SUV pull into it, and hit the car next to it with a loud crunch as we watched. Her comment to me was, "well I guess it's a good thing you didn't park there ".
Jordan colored my hair & really struggled with not getting it to turn fire engine red and pumpkin orange. It was complete experimentation on his part, and he was clearly not experienced. He finally got it to a color I could walk outside with, after a few tries, and several hours. He was nice enough & did his best, and I realize he's learning, but at these prices I expected more expertise rather than experimentation. After going to 5 other salons in the next 2 days wiith this unholy mess that he created, and turned away by every single one because it was such a mess that no one would touch it…. I finally found an Aveda salon with a master hair colorist that was able to fix it, for another $300. It took a lot of effort to find someone who could fix the mess that guy created & charged me a fortune for. You clearly support laughing at customers if you engage in gossip with other stylists to cover your shoddy work rather than looking at your staff’s behavior. That makes your character questionable. I'm tempted to turn that boy into the Fl dept that manages cosmetology licensing. He shouldn't be allowed to work unsupervised.
what finally really sealed the deal with me on never coming back here and leaving this review is the fact that when I paid, I was charged a % service charge for the entire bill because I was using my debit card. Being that I was paying nearly 600 because I also bought products & left a tip, it turned out to be quite a hefty service charge -$20. I've never had any credible business charge me a $20 service charge for using my debit card before in my life. Not even the coffee shop charges me a service charge for using my debit card. After complaining about the bizarre $20 service charge and told flippantly I could walk across Florida Avenue to find an ATM...., as I walked out the receptionist, then started giggling about I guess my ridiculousness to the stylist standing next to her. Because, you know... People who can actually afford to pay these insane prices are really ridiculous and deserve to be laughed at before the door even closes behind them. Keep laughing, I won't be back. You are not professional, kind or skilled. The only inclusion you support is the kind you can wave like a banner & hide behind as you laugh at customers to take their money like...
I showed up 14 minutes late to my appointment due to getting stuck in traffic. I spoke to the receptionist Kate over the phone on the way informing her that I was running late. She said I am fine as long as I'm no more than 15 minutes late. When I arrived Kate was in the back not at the front desk and didn't see me come in. A few minutes later when she came up front she said she was sorry that she had been in the back folding laundry and that she apologizes but it was now 16 minutes after my appointment time and that if I would have been there one minute earlier that I would have been fine Although I sat there waiting on her to come check me in for 2 minutes. Also part of the late policy says you will be charged 50$ or 20% whichever is greater if you miss or show up late to an appointment. I told her I wanted to speak to a manger and she said there wasn't any available and the only thing she could do for me is to re schedule me and charge me for showing up late. The next day I spoke to the manager Brandon and he informed me that I am no longer allowed to come to Tribeca Seminole heights because Kate lied and said that I called her a "slur". She told Brandon I called her a "stupid girl". I asked Brandon to pull up the camera so he can see the truth but he said there's no audio and that too protect his employees he has to take their side and there is nothing he can do about it. I feel bad for the stylist who will be losing money from my haircuts as I've been going to Tribeca for almost 4 years. Brandon said he could set me up with another stylist at a different location but I will not be taking that offer and no longer supporting Tribeca color salons. I feel embarrassed and upset about this situation and how I was treated. Be weary of showing up late to your appointments. Over the years I have been passed around through stylists as no one seems to stay around. During this time my haircut price has doubled and the quality has not gotten any better. I still continued to keep coming but this behavior is unacceptable and the manager/owner Brandon should be ashamed for allowing his employees to treat...
Read moreOh my, how can I even start this review! Mickie, Mickie, Mickie! Let me tell you that I was looking for somebody to work with my complicated hair for my wedding day. I mentally felt limited on the different hairstyles that I could achieve with my hair, but Mickie made me truly realize that the sky is the limit. I was going back and forward trying to figure out who could make my hair on my wedding day and I just couldn’t find the perfect person. They either didn’t show commitment, or just plain didn’t give me the assurance that I needed, or needed to book a minimum of services that I didn’t need. About 3 weeks away from my wedding day, I found Tribeca, who was within walking distance to the hotel I was going to stay during the wedding weekend. The service Tribeca provided from the moment I called to the day I walked out with my hair done was above and beyond my expectations. I only had to do one phone call and I already had all appointments set up with no problems afterwards. I have never experienced this at a hair salon -and I do have plenty of horror stories in hair salons-. I booked for a trial, where I first met Mickie and she wowed me. Like I don’t even know how to explain. I initially thought that an updo would be safe, but truly wanted a side braid. I had the courage to express my idea to Mickie and I had to say no more, she took care of the rest. If I could explain what happen, it was close to “she had a magic wand and somehow instantly transformed my hair”. I needed more length, so she recommended to get extensions (which is something that I told her I was willing to do if needed!) and also said that I could change my mind the day of the wedding. This worked out well because I initially didn’t want a veil, but changed my mind two days before. Even so, she was able to work her magic. To Tribeca, but more so Mickie, thank you from the bottom of my heart for doing the...
