Good Old Times Cigar Lounge — Attraction in Tavares

I’m a big fan of locally owned operated shops and merchants. Good old times cigar lounge is one of my new favorites, nothing fancy but great selections of “new world” cigars. Well kept and maintained humidor with both well known as well as an eclectic selection of lesser known cigars from all over the world. 50 yards from the lake boat docks or a short drive from anywhere in north lake county. Plenty of indoor seating with fresh air circulation system as well as a few outdoor chairs. Without question, my favorite tobacconist is Chad, with over 20 years of “old world” and “New World” cigar expertise, Chad is “one of a kind” aficionado. This place is quite accurately named! It is a GREAT neighborhood cigar store and lounge which caters to the blue collar crowd and provides every possible need for cigar aficionados from all walks of life! There are limited numbers of comfy leather seats, but like I said, this place is aimed at being a locals joint, NOT a high-brow lounge with sexy bar maids and over-priced sticks.

The cigar selection is superb for such a quaint little place, as are the offerings of peripherals every cigar smoker covets! There is a good selection of beverages on hand at all times, and the owner goes out of his way to always have some kind of finger food on the table pro-gratis.

First time visitor. Went in looking for boveda travel packets and to check out the lounge as I'm visiting from Ocala. Excelent help from Bob, as he handed me two on the house. Next I was led in to the lounge and was welcomed by the guys while enjoying a great smoke and conversation. Met some fine gentlemen also enjoying good cigars and conversation. Before departing I had to check out the very well-stocked humidor. Made a few selections and will definitely be coming back during my stay in Leesburg.
