There's nothing more frustrating than breaking your phone while on vacation. My stress level was a 10 from a scale of 1 to 10! I knew I had to buy a new phone and was fortunate to meet Ryan and Larry at the T-Mobile store in Tavares Florida. Ryan was very friendly and personable and answered every question I asked him. He showed me every line the store had from iPhones, Samsung, Google Pixel, and MotoRazr. After weighing all my options I wanted a phone they did not have in stock. Ryan did not hesitate to call a local store and check their availability of the phone I desired. He was willing to lose a sale to make me happy! You don't see that too often from a sales employee. I drove to the store and got my phone and and had a problem transferring my contacts over to my new phone. I decided to go back to see Ryan and Larry and was pleasantly surprised they were willing to help me. While waiting, Larry was dealing with a very insensitive elderly woman. She was demanding to get a Burger King app placed on our phone. I thought it was quite weird for a person to ask such a simple task. Furthermore she was being very rude while asking. Larry smiled and helped her like she was his grandmother. I told Ryan and Larry my problem with my contacts and they were extremely helpful in solving my problems. Most bizarre experience with Tavares Sprint store. I called in advance to insure they had the phone i wanted to purchase. They did. I went to store and waited about 30 minutes to be waited on. I confirmed with Raymond the Sprint representative that i wished to pay for the phone in cash. He refused the sale telling me it was Sprint's policy that to lease the phone only. He suggested that I lease the phone and simply pay it off in full on the next billing cycle. I said no, i would like to purchase it today. He said Sprint's policy did not allow an outright purchase. Not true, as confirmed by Sprint Corporate. Bizarre! Fortunately, there are more and better stores to patronize. So let me explain my 3 stars. Employees are amazing !!!. Know several of them by names and have spent alot of money with them over years. However the "new merge" is not all cracked up to be as T-mobile claims to be. Not only that but my existing contract I signed with them being the "samsung flex" plan has always allowed me to upgrade every 12 months and only have to pay my sales tax which is never been that much and then walk out door with new phone. NOW!! Sprint will not honor the binding contract I signed with them without paying a massive upgrade fee and deposit because I have always had the newest flagship device and now if its over 700 I have to pay that difference:(. Not cool at all and can't except that. They offered me a plan that I have followed and now that its time to upgrade they wanna try to change...
