So I've been doing business with this restaurant for about a year plus now. Sad to say but it has come to an end as of yesterday. Before I even begin, like any other restaurants, there were changes. Food portions and prices just to name a few. Which are to be expected. However, the downsize of the food portions along with the increasement of prices changes from me ordering twice a week to maybe twice every other 2 weeks or more. Rasta pasta flavor is always changing. When I first started ordering it, wonderful. After while, it'll be really cheesy like pizza and extra spicy. I'm not a fan. I only continued to order it because my child still tolerates it. Now about yesterday, I ordered a medium bbq jerk meal that consist of white rice with curry chicken gravy, corn and plantains. Along with a chicken rasta pasta and a side of white rice with curry chicken gravy. The meal was roughly about $33. Got home, I started prepping my kids food. When I got to my meal which was the bbq jerk meal, I picked up the chicken, turned it upside down and saw what looked to be hair or some type of particle on the chicken. Contacted the store, the young lady mentioned that it was the stuff (ingredients) they put in the chicken curry. I told her I was well aware about the chicken curry but this was something else and told her I was on my way back. At this point, I'm hungry but not as hungry because that threw my appetite off, I'm agitated, and I'm highly disgusted. When I go to the restaurant, I show them. The chef explained to me what it was, which was a piece of a sos pad from when they scrub the boards and somehow it ended up on the chicken. His words, not mine. He then asked me what did I want, how do we make this right? I told him I'll take a soup. Now the bbq jerk meal was $16.05. The soup cost $8.56. Me knowing this, I asked him do I get the difference. He said "no because the soup replaces the meal, the soup is about $9." He said you could of had another chicken meal. After that foreign object that did NOT belong in the chicken which made me lose my appetite for a chicken meal and instead I rather my stomach to set on some soup, he mentions that. I did not want another chicken meal or else I would have ordered another chicken meal. I politely said, that's okay I'll just get a refund for the meal. That was my last day I would give that restaurant any of my business again. Not only did I miss the opportunity to enjoy a meal with my kids, but my time, my gas, my money and no food. To top it off, I did NOT even...
Read moremy husband called in and placed and order over the phone. we ordered an oxtail dinner and a curry chicken dinner, both with rice and peas. they only gave us rice and peas with the oxtail and our curry was packaged with plain white rice. This is after they repeated the order back to us on the phone. we unfortunately didn’t notice until after already getting home :( Not that big of a deal but i do prefer my curry with the traditional rice and peas, like my grandma use to make. we also ordered 2 different patties and we were told once we got there that they hadn’t put one of them in the oven so it would take 15 minutes to cook. We didn’t want to wait so we said we would do without and just enjoy the one. i love this place and the food is phenomenal. we will be back but im very disappointed that i can’t enjoy my dinner the way...
Read moreYeah man! (in my Jamaican voice) 🥰 Finally, dinner was not a disappointment. This place will satisfy your taste buds 150 percent so you certainly MUST TRY IT! We got the curry goat, stewed beef and stewed chicken. Kids are tough judges and mine savored EVERYTHING, including my 3 year old. They inhaled their dinners. We tried each other's options and everything was fresh, SO TENDER and simply delicious 😋 The place is very clean, the customer service was grand and the ambiance superb, particularly my favorite music (reggae) was jamming!! Today was our first time, but it wont be our last 😘 Can't wait to try other dishes. I am one...
